Basil Tomato Rolls

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2009
I could get about 1 Tablespoon of filling into my rolls and wish that after they had risen and were bigger, that I had added more. These were so good. If my husband wasn't sick, he would probably of eaten them all. But he only ate one. 25 minutes made them crispy in my oven, so I pulled the second pan out at about 22 minutes. I should have watched the first pan closer, but they were so good. I will be making them again and again. Oh, and my oven was at 350 instead of 375 because I forgot to turn it up because I had been cooking all day. And my first batch in the oven turned out a little crispy by 25 minutes. My second batch was heavenly.

Pineapple Pie V

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2009
I made this last night and stuck it in the fridge. We just ate some and it was good! I would add the eggs differently next time, but it all mixed together quite well. Thickened well. And set very well in the refrigerator. We served it with whipped topping on top, because it help reduce the citrus kick.

Chocolate Lemon Cream Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
I found this recipe this morning while looking for something sweet to satisfy my pregnancy craving. I was going to be the first to review this recipe but Kim C. beat me to it. Her reveiw came in just as I had put it in the oven the second time and I wish I had seen it 2 seconds earlier. I also did not have lemon peel and only added the 3 tablespoons of lemon juice. Next time I make this dish, I will add more lemon and hopefully have the lemon peel. I think the lemon peel would have been perfect. Realy, all it needed was a bit more lemon. It was definatly what I needed to satisfy my craving this morning. And my husband took it to work with him and shared it and everyone loved it.

PHILADELPHIA New York Cheesecake III

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2009
This is the first Cheesecake I have made. I used a larger spring pan because that is all I had, but it worked out perfect. I was originally going to make Chantal's new york cheesecake from this site, but after reading the lowest reveiws, I decided to make this one. People complained of it not setting right and taste to much like sour cream. My husband does not like sour cream. So I chose this recipe because it had another package of creamcheese wich may balance out the sourcream taste and didn't have as many liquid ingredients so it should set just fine. But I did use the sugar amount from the other recipe which was a half a cup more. It turned out perfect. My husband said it tasted better then most restaraunt cheesecakes he has had. We ate it late last night and this morning and half of it is gone now and we are a small family of three with our daughter only a year and a half old. The cake probably won't see tomarrow.

Banana Cream Pie I

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2009
I read the reveiws before making this pie. Mine turned out perfect. I did not bake mine and I used cornstarch instead of flour. I think the reason people had runny pies is the didn't cook it on the stove long enough. It ws a great recipe. Thanks. I will be making it again and again.

Chicken Scampi II

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2009
Ths was great. I've made it twice. I made a few slight changes the first time, but kept it pretty much the same. The second time I changed it up a bit with addition of dried chives, and threw some fresh chopped tomatoes and green onion in with the chicken for the last 5-10 minutes of itcooking. I also only used 1/4 cup butter and a little more garlic and lemon juice. I served it over angel hair pasta. My husband is a picky eater and he loved it so much, I'm sure I will be making it often.

Honey Baked Chicken II

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2009
My husband loved this recipe. I doubled the curry, and used only about 1 Tbs of butter. I also used honey dijon mustard. I cooked two boneless skinless chicken breasts and covered them for the first 30-45 minutes, still basting every 15. I only basted them real well before putting them in instead of pouring all the sauce on them, and basted them with the sauce that I hadn't used, until they were done. They were tender and very yummy. I had even cut slits in the chicken to help it soak up the flavor.

Ninety Minute Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2009
I have always liked homemade cinnamon rolls alot better then store bakery ones, and these ones were realy good. I will be making them often. The taste was great and the bread was good. I topped mine off with a caramel glaze, made from 1/4 cup of milk and a couple Tbls of brown sugar boiled on the stove then removed and added a tsp of vanilla and powdered sugar till a nice glazy consistancy.

Heavenly Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2009
They were not my favorite cinnamon roll. I found this recipe last night and made them. They were a little bland on taste, and the bread from them would be good in something else. It didn't realy work for cinnamon rolls.
