Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2010
This was a huge hit at a dinner party I went to.. put an orange glaze over it for some more flavor. It was moist and delicious! Great recipe!

Marshmallow Icing

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2010
I made this for a strawberry cake I made- i didn't put in any vanilla extract and no marshmallows either but it was still REALLY good! It was a little runny, so I just globbed some over the little cakes I made and it looked great!

Blackberry and Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2010
did not like the crust but the filling was really good! I'm not a huge fan of blackberries, so I'm sure that didn't help but my husband liked the pie!

Rigatoni with Eggplant, Mushrooms and Goat Cheese

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2010
I didn't have goat cheese, so I used moz and parm instead. I didn't put that many olives in there and added a couple of sun-dried tomatoes. (never can go wrong with sun-dried tomatoes and pasta!)-yum! I also only had italian-flavored crushed tomatoes, which turned out ok. I added some leftover grilled chicken and green peppers. It turned out ok... pretty tasty but probably would have been better with the goat cheese.

Banana Pudding IV

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2010
I'm giving this a "4" because I modified it... after mixing the first 5 ingredients, i didn't really think the consistency was thick enough, so I added a 1.5 oz box of french vanilla pudding and also used a 16oz tub of cool whip instead of just an 8oz. I used 1/2 of the cool whip to mix into the pudding mixture and then used the other half to layer: cookies, banana's, pudding, coolwhip. I had enough for 2 layers of each. YUMMMMM! It was soooo good!!!

Fresh Fruit Tart with Ginger Snap Crust

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2010
I made this with a pre-made graham cracker crumb crust and it was a total hit! It didn't even turn out right... my cream cheese wasn't soft enough and I added the heavy cream too early, so there were little lumps. I also didn't know when to stop whipping, so I'm sure it could have been lighter and fluffier. I also used peach preserves instead of apricot. As I said, even with all the mistakes, everyone still loved it!

Perfect Sesame Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2010
This is a great recipe and does taste a lot like take out sesame chicken but I found the sesame oil to be overpowering, I used just a drop of it in my sauce instead of 2 TBS and it still was very strong.

Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2010
This was an excellent fettuccini! I rated it as 4 stars because I "made it my own." Since I only had skim milk, I used whole cream instead of half and half- I thought that would make it better. I also didn't have any other cheese besides parm, so I just added extra parm instead. I didn't use any of the vegetables, so it was just the meat. Delicious! My husband loved it!

Microwave Caramel Popcorn

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2010
This is an awesome recipe! I've made it many many times for my husband, his friends and as gifts! You can also try adding peanuts into the bag with the popcorn and then drizzling melted semi-sweet chocolate over the finished product for some extra "yum." SO good!

Country Green Beans

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2010
made these as a part of our thanksgiving meal and they were a huge hit! Of course, it doesn't hurt that I'm southern and love to put bacon in everything but there were northerners at the table who loved this dish as well! ;-)

Onion Chicken in Balsamic Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2010
The first time I made this it was great- second time, not so much. The juice was really runny, so I'm not sure what happened. I also used boneless, skinless chicken breasts, so maybe that was the problem. Other than that, great recipe! I love the sun-dried tomatoes and balsamic vinegar!

Sangria! Sangria!

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2010
the. best. sangria. EVER!! Wow! Thanks for such a rockin' recipe!! I've substituted sunny D for the OJ and drank it without letting the fruit soak (just squeezed the fruit so the juices came out) and it was STILL fantastic! Doesn't last for very long around my house!! If I could give this 10 stars, I would!

World's Best Scones! From Scotland to the Savoy to the U.S.

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2010
These are delicious scones! I make them for my husband all the time and they don't take long at all! I've mixed them up by making some white chocolate-cranberry scones (adding a cup of dried cranberries and a cup of white chocolate chips) and chocolate chip scones (adding a cup of chocolate chips). They also look/tast great with raw sugar on top! (sprinkled on after the egg wash is applied)

Strawberries and Cream Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2010
made this cake for a friend's birthday and it was a huge hit! Great for welcoming spring! I had to put the cake in the fridge for a couple of hours after layering it with the "cream" as the icing and cream would mix together and not look very pretty. Cake looked GREAT with 2 coats of icing - I ended up making a batch and a half of the icing but didn't really need that much. Great cake!!!

Pollo Mediterranean

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2009
This was delicious! I didn't know how much milk to add so I just poured a little in. I didn't add the olives and added 1/2 a cup of sun-dried tomatoes instead of 1/4 a cup. I served the chicken and sauce over bow-tie pasta and it was delicious! Thanks for a great recipe! Will def. use again!
