Donut Muffins

Reviewed: May 29, 2010
with so many reviews in so few days, I felt the urge to try these. Very easy, tasy and quick to make. I dipped the tops of the muffins in melted butter, then in the sugar and cinnamon. They did not remind me of sugared doughnut holes, but they were good, will make again and thanks for sharing

Fabulous Focaccia

Reviewed: May 29, 2010
I don't know what faccacia is suppose to taste like, but this was delicious. It takes a little longer than other breads I have made-but is so worth it. Topped it with parmasean, garlic chives, red peppers Italian seasoning and onion and served with cream of cauliflower soup. Thumbs up around the table, I will definitely make this again and thanks for the recipe Nana.

Blue Cheese and Cracked Pepper Bread

Reviewed: May 23, 2010
this bread was very tasty BSM. I don't eat blue cheese but I wanted to try it anyway. I used cheddar and jalapeno havarti, rolled them up into cinnamon type rolls and served with chilli. YUM. I got 11 nice rolls and used a 1/2 c more flour b/c I was rolling them out.

Soft-N-Fluffy Hamburger Buns

Reviewed: May 21, 2010
I have never used wheat gluten with white flour before, this made for a very light texture. I used 2 1/2 cups of flour and made 8 hamburger size buns. But they were too sweet to eat with burgers. I will toast them with plain cinnamon or use them to make bread pudding.

Trishie's Chinese-Style Salad Dressing

Reviewed: May 7, 2010
I did it!!! I made a recipe "as is" no tweaking. This dressing is great, I loved it with veggies and tonight I marinated chicken breasts in the dressing for 4 hrs then grilled them -delicious. Family loved it, my youngest DS said they tasted like Subways's teriyaki chicken (his fav so that is quite a compliment) Next I want to brush this on broiled broccoli.

Cereal Chocolate Roll

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2010
these are really good/easy/ and quick but they DO get chewy the second day. I made 2 batches now and the second batch I let the syrup and sugar cook a little longer-let it come to a boil rather than taking off the heat as soon as it bubbles. They stayed crispy in a container for 2 days. Also just a tip - I save cereal insert wax bags to wrap desserts like this. The waxed paper is better quality and food does not stick to it.

Cinnamon Roll Cheesecake

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2010
This was "the best" and I made it exactly as written. My guys lifted both thumbs at the table and were so impressed with the taste that I had peace and quiet for 5 min while they enjoyed. I will be trying your ginger cheesecake next LS-this was great and thanks for the blog tutorial. I snuck a taste of it when it came out of the oven and wanted to hide the cake from the family to enjoy/hoard it for myself. When you need a toatlly different approach to a dessert -MAKE THIS

Paska Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2010
This was very good bread, it makes a large batch and the dough is very easy to work with. If making in the KA, the batch could be halved and the KA could handle the dough size. Will make again and thanks for sharing

Chocolate Babka

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2010
this was good bread, it tasted like choclate cinnamon rolls. I used less flour, also I made one ring with streusel, one without. We prefered it without the streusl as it did not stay on the ring very well.

Kitty Kat Bars

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2010
thee are great bars as the recipe says, family loves them. The longer they sit, the better they taste. Made them several times, only suggestion would be to make layers of different crackers-1 of ritz, 1 of brettons crackers-you will not be disappointed trying these

Canadian Moose Lasagna

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2010
Great recipe-very tasty. If you are having a hard time finding moose, as some have stated, use any lean burger. Moose, venison and buffalo have a wonderful flavour but plain lean beef would work too. I used cottage cheese because I had no ricotta, will make again -thanks

Mike's Signature Pretzel Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2010
these were good, but did not make anyone say -'You have to make these again" I will continue to look for other boil and bake bread. I may try these again and boil a little longer or bake a little less. The crust was tougher than I expected it would be.
