Chocolate Chip Sour Cream Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2010
I was looking for a way to use the rest of my small amount of sour cream when I found this recipe. They turned out really good, very moist and not too sweet. I think next time I will try and use the margarine instead of the veg. oil just to see how the flavor compares...thank you soo much for the recipe!

Pumpkin Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2010
I would give it more stars if I could, trust me! It was absolutly the best chili I have ever had. I've already given this recipe to my sister and a friend from work, who say they will always make this chili over any other kind of chili from now on. I only chopped the onion and bell pepper instead of dicing them as I like chili on the chunkier side. Also, I substituted ground turkey for the hamburger meat. Incredible flavor, slightly sweet, thank you for this recipe!

Pumpkin Chocolate Dessert Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2010
This was actually a really interesting and delicious recipe, the pumpkin flavor was very subtle, but the combination of chocolate and pumpkin went very well together. My frosting didn't really hold up too well, the recipe said to pour on while still hot, but I think next time I will wait a few more seconds for it to slightly cool before pouring it so that it will look thicker. Thanks for the recipe!

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2011
My husband thought it to be a bit bland as far as flavor goes, but I just added some more Worcestershire sauce to the dish once it was done and it tasted a lot better, other than that I just used sour cream instead of cream cheese and this dish was super yummy! Thanks for the recipe, I'll definitely make it again!

Lemon Chicken II

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2011
I made a lot of changes to this recipe. Everyone said they didn't like the batter so I did my own, flour with lemon pepper seasoning. I marinated the chicken in 3 Tbs. soy sauce, 1 tsp. sherry, 1 tsp. ginger root, and 2 tsp. lemon zest. Also, I thought the sauce should have been sweeter, like orange sauce, but for lemon, so I added juice from 2 lemons, and added a lot of sugar, like 2/3 cup. When the chicken was done frying, I tossed it in a large mixing bowl with the sauce and some lemon slices, it was seriously good, my husband told me this recipe was a keeper, thanks for the great idea, sorry I made so many changes to this recipe...

Vintage Lemonade

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2011
In my opinion, it was much too lengthy of a process for something that tasted just"ok" I think next time I will add more lemon and/or water and less sugar, it was kind of on the sweet side and I like more of the lemon flavor to come out in my lemonade.

Chocolate Covered Cherries II

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2011
I didn't have any corn syrup which is what my usual recipe calls for, so I was looking for one without it and I found this one, it tasted soo good! I especially liked the almond extract it called for, it gave it a nice flavor. I will store some away for a week or two so that I can enjoy them when the cherries have ripened and the white coating is nice and runny, thanks!

Southwest Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2011
it was alright I guess, I did what other reviewers said and added some diced onion and garlic, and I browned the chicken with taco seasoning coated on both sides, also I added some chicken broth when simmered and it was still just alright. Oh well, thanks for the recipe though.

Central American Tacos

The green sauce was awesome and I will use it again in other meals, however, the potato beef mixture was bland and tasteless, I tried adding some garlic and cilantro but nothing really good came of that.

This was really good! I especially liked the batter for the topping, such a great sweet contrast to the tart plum, next time I will definitely remember to buy some vanilla ice cream to go with this dish!

Shrimp Burritos

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2011
They were good, but, the mayo/yoghurt mixture was not so good, and without it, the burrito was dry tasting, so I don't know what would have worked instead, maybe I'll do sour cream instead next time? That's if my husband will even eat them next time I make them after trying these one's.

Spooky Witches' Fingers

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2011
These were really fun to make, they tasted good, but I think the almond extract was a little overwhelming. Maybe when I make it again I'll do 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla and 1/2 tsp almond, thanks for the recipe.
