Peppermint Patties

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2013
These were so easy to make:) I had to make my own condensed milk, and I used mint extract, it was what I thought was peppermint. I also used vanilla and chocolate bark to coat. On the white Patties, I sprinkled them with green sprinkles. So cute!! My kids love them!! Ps. Vanilla or chocolate bark is much easier to coat candies with than chocolate chips. Learned from experience:)

Mmmmm yummy!! My first time making candy, and it turned out great without a candy thermometer!! I just boiled the mixture til it looked thick enough, and I used peanuts also.

Chocolate and Almond Biscotti

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2013
This recipe is so yummy!! I've made lots and lots of biscotti, and what I've read is the biscotti is more authentic when no oil/butter is used. I had about a cup + of ground almonds that also I added whiskey to that I had in the fridge marinating for whiskey balls, but decited not to make. So I used the ground whiskey infused almonds, about 2 Tbs of water, and everything eles the same. So so good!!!! Oh ya, I used white choc chips instead of regular. Thx so much!!

I used a bold keurig coffee pod, and added about a tsp of international delight brand "hot for cookie"flavored cream with also half and half instead of milk. Still not too sweet! It's good!! Really reminiscent of Starbucks mocha!! Mmmm oh ya, went awesome with Chocolate and Almond Biscotti from this site too!!:)

Made this pie for Thanksgiving. One recipe made 2 full pies, and I used the store bought premade pie dough in the tin. My kids love this pie!!

Baked Hot Dog Sandwiches

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2013
I wanted to make hotdogs for an easy weekend dinner, but wanted something different. I googled, and found this recipe. Mmmmm, so good!! We used honey mustard instead of yellow. Also, I realized I was out of foil when I started to wrap them. So I filled the buns and placed them in s casserole dish, and baked as directed. Served with tomatoe soup! My young kids really loved this also, and helped cook them too.

Chai Tea Mix

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2013
My friend had mentioned that she stopped drinking coffee, and she bought a mix of chocolate chai drink. She said it wasn't very good. That's when I decited to make this recipe! It was so expensive to purchase the ingredients, but worth it!! I also used all non dairy creamer because my friend is dairy free. Also coffee mate makes sweetened origional creamer, so I used only 1 cup of that , and 2 cups of original coffee creamer. No sugar also becsuse my friend also is eliminating sugar from her diet. This makes it very enjoyable, and all the spices come through perfectly! Thx!

Jalapeno Pepper Jelly

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2013
This recipe is prettt good!! I used apple cider vinegar, because that's all I had, and I used my magic bullet to blend the 6 fresh jalapenos I used, and doing that, it made a natural green jelly. I also added a bunch of fresh chopped cilantro at the end, because I had it, and I wanted to use it. The jelly is really yummy!

Court's Creamy and Quick Burritos

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2012
My family really loved this recipe!! Even my 4,5,&,6 year olds liked it!! It was easy too. The flavors were a bit flat though. I don't know why because the taco packet, salsa, and cream soup are flavored. Prob would make again:), but would add cilantro, or maybe Swiss cheese! Mmmmmm

Lemon Pie I

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2011
I had planned on making a lemon pie,and a lime pie with 2 crusts, and just one can of milk, and one tub of topping. I thought I'd have two shallow pies, but I found that the one recipe made two full-to-the rim pies! I had tons of lemons, and limes, and I went zest and juice crazy! About 4 each(lemon & lime). The lemon filling was "burn your throat"sour!so I had to use about 1/2 cup of Hersheys Strawberry Syrup to swirl into the pre-frozen pie. That made it like a strawberry lemonaid flavor! Really good! The lime pie was perfect as was done! They kept well in the freezer, and sliced wonderfully! My husband acted like it was poison when I told him what I had made, but asked for a piece every night til they were gone! :) thank u! Will make often! And will only use listed amount of juice in the future! ;)

Three-Step Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2011
I'm almost nervous to rate this recipe since I made it with items I had on hand, and not the original ingredients. I used red leaf lettuce,no onions, celery, mandarins, and I had whole plain almonds that I chopped up. For the dressing I did garlic infused evoo(homemade),Chardonnay dijon mustard, and fresh lemon juice. I was not going to go spend extra $ on the ingredient list if I had similar items at home. This salad was very good, and basically made as recipe. Thank you :)

Nitey Night Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2011
I really love this recipe!! I've never made,or had a merange(sp),so I had no idea what to expect. These cookies are great! I used walnuts instead of pecan because that's what I had, along with choc chips. I gave 4 stars for lack of stating what the "prepared pan" was. Because of other reviews, I used an opened paper bag,and it worked awesome!! Also preheated 425 per other review. Thanks for recipe!!

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2011
I'm sorry, but I didn't enjoy this recipe at all. I've rated many recipes from this site, and gave great ratings! (I'm trying to say that I'm NOT picky! :) ) I followed the recipes ingredients exactly, just floured my chicken pieces, and browned in oil first. I then put chicken, and mixed sauce in my slow cooker. Cooked on low about 2 or 3 hrs til done. The house smelled like garlicky, soy sauce! And tasted the same! I'm sorry to say that, but I can't describe it any other way. Maybe I'll try again, and use stove top because maybe the crockpot messed it up! :) thank u!
