Habanero Pepper Cream Pasta

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2010
OMG this was SO good! I cut down on the parmesan cheese as other reviewers mentioned, I omitted the butter, I used rotini instead of cavatappi, I used minced garlic, a fresh habanero pepper (instead of a dried one) and I added chicken and mushrooms. Definitely make sure you let it simmer and thicken, tastes so much better. Also I added some salt. My fiancé was in heaven! DELICIOUS!

David's Yellow Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2010
The cake itself tasted OK. I made "Rich Chocolate Frosting" from this website and because of that, the cake and frosting together tasted great. But I don't think I would've eaten the cake on it's own. It either had too much flour or too much baking powder. It was more like a pound cake than a light and airy yellow cake. I don't think I'll be trying this recipe again.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2010
I made these this morning and I followed the recipe exactly (I halved it) and added chocolate chips. It's a good thing I added the chocolate chips because I'm not sure if it was the flour or the baking powder, but it had an overpowering taste and probably would've been awful if I hadn't added chocolate chips!

Soft Sugar Cookies IV

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2010
These were delicious! I never have shortening so I used butter instead and they were perfect! I put them for 8 minutes and they came out just lightly golden brown on the bottom and soft on the inside. Topped them with funfetti icing and they are perfection!

Cake Batter Ice Cream

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2010
OMG this is SO good! I used Yellow Cake Mix instead of White Cake Mix and this was better than Coldstone! I added mini chocolate chips and rainbow sprinkles and used the batter in my Kitchenaid ice cream maker and it turned out like Coldstone's Birthday Cake Remix! Will definitely be making several times!

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

Reviewed: May 27, 2010
I halved this recipe and used 1 cup of white sugar instead of 1.5 cups and baked them in an 8X8 for 20 minutes and they came our PERFECT. These brownies were SOOOO good!! I'm pretty sure I used more chocolate chips than the recipe called for but I am a chocolate fanatic. I took them to work and they were gone in an hour! I have NEVER had good luck making brownies from scratch until now!!!

Coffee Butter Frosting

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2010
This was great! I used the recommended butter, 1 tablespoon coffee, 1.5 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder and I started with 1/2 cup confectioners sugar and then added little by little until it reached my desired sweetness :) This was a huge hit at my office! And my boyfriend loved it too!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2010
I replaced the blueberries with 1 cup of chocolate chips and I left out the topping which is maybe why these didn't turn out well but the tops were as hard as a rock so when I put in the second batch I put it in for half the time and it came out like batter and tasted like flour. These were NOT good.

Lemon Garlic Tilapia

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2010
This was GREAT! First I rubbed the fish with the salt, pepper and chili powder and put it in the baking dish. Then in a separate pan I sauteed the garlic, butter, lemon juice, parsley (and I added red pepper flakes) and then poured the mix on the top of the fish in the baking pan. I added parmesan cheese on top and baked it for 8 minutes at 400 degrees. WONDERFUL!

Easy Chocolate Chip Pound Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2009
SO GOOD! I only had about 1/4 cup vegetable oil on hand so I used that and this turned out so FABULOUS! I will be making this over and over again!

Deep Dish Brownies

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2009
I increased the cocoa and the sugar as some reviewers had suggested but the sugar should not have been increased because these were WAY too sweet. When I bit into a brownie, I could literally feel the sugar crystals in my mouth, that's how heavy the sugar was. I wouldn't risk making these again.

Zippy Summer Shrimp

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2009
I used butter instead of oil and this was DELICIOUS! People were using the sauce that was leftover and dipping the bread in it! It was THAT good! Will definitely make again.

Double Tomato Bruschetta

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2009
This was great but I'm really glad I left out the oil. The oil from the sundried tomatoes in more than enough. And make sure you use bread that gets crispy in the oven, mine went soggy.

Oven Chicken Fingers

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2009
Like other reviewers I used an egg instead of oil and I also added a little bit of black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and chili powder (I like everything spicy). I thought this recipe was ok and only tasted good when I dipped it in ketchup.

Penne with Chicken and Pesto

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2009
This was great but I thought it definitely needed a significant amount of pesto more than the recipe called for. Also I omitted the chicken and added sundried tomatoes and mushrooms and made it vegetarian...delicious!

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2009
This was absolutely AMAZING! I used 1/2 cup vegetable oil like other reviewers suggested (instead of the 1 cup) and if this had lasted more than 24 hours I would've eaten the whole thing. FANTASTIC!
