About this Cook
I am a kindergarten teacher and mom, I have 2 amazing children. My husband and I both work very hard, and are always on the go with sports and activities for the kids. I don't like to spend time cooking during the week so I try to do as much preparing as I can on the weekends. I'm always scouring allrecipes for new, tasty and quick recipes that my family will love. I have found so many wonderful recipes on here!
My favorite things to cook
All different kinds of desserts, anything in the crockpot. I'm trying to learn how to make soup and branch out from my normal everyday cooking.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Cookie Party exchanges at Christmas and family potlucks
My cooking triumphs
I am known as a baker by all my friends and co-workers. I love to make tons of different cookies during the Christmas holiday and arrange baskets and trays of goodies as gifts. Everyone asks for them around the holidays! I also make chocolate loli-pops and homemade candy creations for all of my kids' birthday parties and school parties. I love making them and wrapping them up with cute labels and bows.
My cooking tragedies
You name it, I've burned it or smoked up the house making it!

Bow Tie Pasta with Sausage and Sweet Peppers
This recipe was yummy as is but I kicked it up a notch by adding a teaspoon of curry powder. Delish! My family loved it! You could definitely add in more vegetable if you like.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings
Super easy and yummy recipe, very comforting after a rainy day. I threw everything in the crockpot that morning. I followed the advice given from another member for crockpot and it worked out great. I did do the dumplings on top and it was delicious and fluffy. Next time I might try pouring it on top of a Pillsbury Grands biscuit. I thought it needed a bit of salt too. Excellent recipe! Thanks for sharing!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Squares
Sooo good! I made mine in a brownie pan and they were pretty thick. I might try the jelly roll pan next time and thin them out. My whole family loved them!
