Cocktail Meatballs

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2012
A big hit and easy to make ahead of time. I doubled the recipe, using 1/2 ground turkey , 1/2 ground beef and onion powder (since DH doesn't like onions). They turned out tasty and moist!! Doubled the sauce (almost) with 1 - 16oz can jellied cranberries and 1 - 12oz jar Heinz Chili Sauc + 6oz water. Turned out well. Thanks!!

Barbequed Pork Ribs

Reviewed: May 6, 2008
Very tender meat and easy to make. I made the recipe as stated, except I pureed the butter/garlic/onion with the other sauce because my husband doesn't like chunky onions. Also added a touch of Liquid Smoke for a little extra flavor. Definitely a keeper!!

Marbled Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2006
Definately a keeper in my book! Was a hit at Thanksgiving for something different than just "pumpkin pie". Had to bake about 10 minutes longer in my oven though until set through.

Maple Apple Crisp

A+++ from my husband. Always a good sign! I only used 1/2 the syrup though (all I had) and it was plenty sweet!

Swedish Meatballs II

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2006
I agree with the other reviews. Meatballs were good! I used 1lbs beef & 1/2lb ground turkey (what was in my freezer) and they were very moist and yummy. The gravy, left alot to be desired. I'll save this meatball recipe, and use a different gravy next time!

BBQ Chicken Wings

Reviewed: May 2, 2005
My husband has scarfed down the chicken wings both times I made this. Definately a keeper. The first time, didn't have oyster sauce, so substituted with hoisen sauce, with similar results!

Barbecued Meatballs

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2004
Great meatballs! If you're looking for spicy, this isn't your recipe. But this recipe made yummy, moist meatballs. The flavor was a tad bland, but next time I'll add some garlic. I used spaghetti sauce, to make Italian Meatball Sandwiches. They were so easy, and definately a keeper!

Steak Tip Marinade

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2004
Yum, yum, yum!! I used this marinade for a London Broil, and marinaded it about 24 hours. Very tasty! I suggest you halve the ingredients though... had too much marinade, and felt like a waste of my Italian Dressing & BBQ sauce. Half the ingredients is plenty! Definately a keeper!

Fluffy White Frosting

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2004
Yummy... just what I was looking for! Took a little extra effort than other frostings, but mostly just time waiting to whip enough. Not difficult... but just the fluffy, tasty frosting for my chocolate cake. Be sure to be patient boiling the sugar though. After a few minutes of boiling, little bubbles will appear on the surface. Don't take it off too soon!

Best of the Best Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2004
Yummy recipe! I halved the recipe, and it made 9 regular sized muffins. As others suggested, I did add 1/2 tsp vanilla for a little extra flavor, and used frozen blueberries.

Indian Naan II

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2004
I picked this recipe because of the other reviews, but I was SO disappointed!!! I followed the recipe to a "T", and while it tasted fine, the bread was hard and flat. It never rose up in the oven. It rose up fine as dough, so it wasn't my yeast. And even have tired arms from kneading it as was told!! .

Garlic Top Sirloin Pot Roast

YUMMY! One of the best pot roasts I've ever made. The meat was incredibly tender, and so full of flavor. The garlic wasn't overwhelming at all!! Definately a keeper!!!

Fabulous! And quite easy to make. A little saltier than I like it, so next time will leave adding the salt until last, and add what is needed. SO much better than the store!!!

Mini Meatloaves

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2004
Yummy!! The little meatloves themselves were a little bland, but with the slightly tangy glaze on top, was just great! If you omit the glaze, I'd add a little onion powder or garlic to the meat mixture. Thanks!

Doreen's Steak Marinade

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2004
Wonderful marinade for London Broil!! I marinaded the meat overnight, then broiled it to perfection. Made wonderful steak sandwiches, with the extra marinade (simmered on the stove) as dipping sauce. Yum! Definately a keeper, if you like garlic & ginger!

Shepherd's Pie VI

Yummy!! I added about 1/2 cup each of frozen peas & carrots (cooked gently in the microwave, then drained) to the final meat base. Also used 5 potatoes instead of 4, for a little bigger topping.

Restaurant-Style Potato Salad

Reviewed: May 16, 2003
Excellent! Just what I was looking for! I used Kraft Fat-Free Mayo, which tends to be sweeter than regular, so I cut back on the sugar (adding it as needed at the end). But what a perfect blend of flavors. This definately goes into my recipe file!

What a wonderful moist bread!!! We easily adapted the recipe, to make it Vegan, using "egg replacer" in place of the 2 beaten eggs, and margarine. Was SO good!!!! It's a keeper!!!

A little oily. I'll cut the olive oil back to 1/3 cup next time. Great with lightly steamed green beans added to it as well.
