This has been one of my faves since I found it about 2 yrs ago. It does not have to be done in a crockpot, just simmer on the stove or refrigerate overnight to get the flavors blended well. I sometimes use 2 cans of any combo of black, kidney,garbonzo beans,whatever I have on hand, 1 can soup and 1 can diced fire roasted tomatoes to mix it up or sometimes add corn. As for heat, I add extra hot sauce or sliced jalapenos. Great toppings are cheese, diced onion, sour cream, salsa, avocado bits, cilantro...be creative.
