Cabbage, Potato, and Tomato Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2011
It was good..but definitely could use some meat to make it more heartier. I used 2 cans of diced tomatoes and added a tsp of dried basil instead.

My toddler loved this! So, it's a kepper in my recipe box. Beware there will be lots of left overs!

Winter Fruit Salad with Lemon Poppyseed Dressing

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2012
I gave it 4 stars because it is too sweet as is. I halved the sugar like other reviewers and it was perfect. I brought it to a church group and got several compliments. Thank you Nora

Poppy Seed Chicken Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2011
I didn't have any sour cream on hand but had plain yogurt, less fat, and it tasted great! Even my picky 2 year old said it was yummy! Definitely will make it again. I also didn't use the 2 c of shredded cheese.

Turkey Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2010
Loved it! Did what the others suggested and added a drained can of corn and black beans. I also started the mixture with sauteeing onion and garlic in olive oil. Also, instead of a chopped tomato, I just added a can of diced tomatoes. I also didn't use the corn tortillas because I didn't have any. I just added some tortilla chips at the end. Definitely a keeper

It was pretty good. I couldn't taste much of the lime in some parts of the chicken.

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2011
It was okay..I only had crushed Italian style tomatoes...but I wouldn't think it would have made much of a difference with the taste. I also used half n half instead of the heavy cream. Maybe if I used hot sausage instead of the sweet it would have tasted better.

I followed the recipe except for using olive oil in place of margarine. I didn't like it. It tasted like fish.

Tacos in Pasta Shells

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2012
It was a hit. I did half salsa and half taco sauce. I did as most other reviewers did and just used taco seasoning with 4 oz of cream cheese. I also browned the meat with garlic and onion. I added about a cup of black beans to the meat mixture too! Yummy, i think next time I will try it with enchilada sauce instead.

Chimichurri Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2011
Never had sauce before but it tasted great. I only used 1/2 c of oil instead of the 3/4 and omitted the oregano due to other reviews. Will definitely try to mix it up a bit in the future with cilantro. Cilantro is one of my fav herbs. Thank you cookinCowgirls for sharing!

Burrito Pie

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2010
Pretty yummy. I followed other reviews and added a bit of taco seasoning and separated the refried beans. I used the original rotel and medium taco sauce and it wasn't too spicy for our 16 month old. Everyone was happy.

What a treat! Some of the items were a bit expensive for my budget (Romano cheese in particular), but this is so delicious! It is a nice dish to have for special dinners.

Parmesan Chicken

I like that you have all the ingredients at hand! It is yummy too! I went with other recommendations and added more basil, equal amount of garlic salt, and a bit of thyme. You need to also follow the directions and make sure the chicken is flattened. YUM!!!
