Crunch Bar

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2014
I have nicknamed these "crack" because they are so addictive. Everyone who tries them loves them and I'm not exaggerating. I follow the ingredients/proportions listed in recipe and they come out perfect every time. I usually bake them for a couple minutes longer than the recipe says, but I don't really know why, honestly; I guess I just like to be different. I line the pan with aluminum foil and then after I finish making them, I put the pan in the freezer for a little while, until they've cooled and hardened. After I remove them from the freezer, I lift the entire "cookie" up on its side and peel off the foil. Yes, sometimes it tears funny and some little scraps are left behind, but they are easy enough to peel off. Between doing that and cutting them up, I end up with a ton of crumbs, but I keep them in a baggie in the fridge and use them as sundae toppings. Delicious!

Corn on the Grill

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2014
I despise corn, whether it's on the cob or off, except when it's made like this. I love it, my 5 and 7 year old daughters love it - everyone loves it. My husband makes it frequently during the summer and our guests always ask for the recipe before they leave. There is no need to change one thing about this recipe; it's perfect as is!

American Lasagna

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2013
My husband makes this lasagna exactly as the recipe instructs and it's the best lasagna ever. We will never use another lasagna recipe again because I know we'll just be comparing everything to how good this one is. Seriously, no modifications needed. It's fantastic!

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2009
We just made this for the first time today and it's absolutely delicious. We used venison stew meat instead of beef and omitted the celery (because I don't like it and don't buy it), but otherwise followed the recipe as it's written. We cooked it on high for 6 hours and it's perfect. This recipe is a keeper. No more buying beef stew seasoning packets at the store for this family.

Chocolate Eclair Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2007
I LOVE this cake, as does everyone else who has tried it. It is so incredibly easy to make (and inexpensive), yet it impresses every crowd I make it for, from kids to those with "refined" palettes. I really think you just can't help yourself, even if you want to dislike it just because it seems like simple "kid" food. It's not meant to be fancy, folks...it's just meant to taste good! And it does! I like to make it with three layers of graham crackers; one on the bottom, one in the middle and one on top (you pour the frosting over the top layer of crackers) and I find that one box of graham crackers isn't enough to do that (unless you don't completely cover each layer with the crackers).

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2004
What a delicious cookie! The addition of cloves makes a subtle, but wonderful difference. I had company over for dinner and served these for dessert and they were a huge hit. Everyone was raving about how good they were and ate almost the entire container of them!

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2003
This meatloaf is delicious and extremely easy to make. I made it with ground venison because that's all I had in my freezer and it was great. It tasted just as good leftover the next day.

Kitty Litter Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2003
This is a great cake! It was easy to make, but I didn't put enough pudding in it, so the cake was crumbling off the fork when people ate it. I brought it to a Halloween party and people thought it was disgusting, but funny. When I told them what was in it, they tried it and liked it. I'd say it was a hit. It's definitely a fun dessert!

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2003
I've never made baked ziti before, but this was easy and delicious! I think the sour cream is the key ingredient that makes it so good. I'll definitely be making this the next time we have company!

Pumpkin Pie Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2002
This cake is so good that my boyfriend wants me to make it all the time. He doesn't need to know how easy it is to make. That will be my little secret. It was a hit at Thanksgiving dinner, but I felt bad because his mom's pumpkin pie was ignored. ;)

Molasses Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2002
If you like ginger snaps, you will love these cookies. They are extremely easy to make and taste absolutely delicious! I made a different batch of cookies while these chilled in the fridge, so it worked out great. If you're looking for quantity rather than size, shape the dough into balls about half the size of a walnut. I did the walnut size and it made only 2 1/2 dozen.
