D's Famous Salsa

Reviewed: May 2, 2010
I made the recipe EXACTLY as described. I didn't add any personal twists to it, as then it wouldn't be the featured recipe. OH MY GOODNESS! This is so amazingly delicious and inexpensive to make for any event or eating daily. I say daily because you will find ways to incorporate this fresh taste into any dish. I wouldn't change a thing...the recipe is perfect as is. There's an old saying - if it's not broke, don't fix it. This doesn't need fixed at all. It's absolutely delicious and incredibly fresh tasting. My all time favorite!

Baked French Toast

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2010
I find that I prefer french toast prepared the traditional way rather than this method. The finished product was soggy, mushy, and didn't have much flavor.

Oh...my...deliciousness! Absolutely perfect. Followed recipe exactly, minus the fennel seeds (didn't have any) and I wouldn't change a thing. DELICIOUS!

Pizza with Pepper, Onion and Feta

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2009
Absolutely perfect! I cooked the veggies over low heat until they were the way that I like them. Other than that I didn't make any changes. This is a keeper. So simple and yet so tasty.

Asian Orange Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2009
Whoa Nelly! This stuff is good. If you want to actually know what's in your Chinese food - go with this recipe. I'm tired of all the MSG and other additives in fast food. I rated it 4 stars due to the amount of flour for the chicken. It's not needed. A slight dusting or none at all would be best. However, this is by far the best thing to Chinese takeout. I prefer it over our local restaurant.

Candied Sweet Potatoes

My husband ate himself silly! I don't think the marshmallow topping adds anything to it. I think it's so beautiful without it. It's rich and bubbly and looks as good as it tastes.

Easy Turkey Gravy

HOLY GRAVY BATMAN!!! I did it! I did it! I made gravy that you can actually eat. I couldn't find turkey stock so I used 4 cups of chicken stock and 1 cup of pan drippings. Delicious, easy, and best of all...it WILL work for you too.

Chocolate Trifle

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2009
This is a KEEPER! So delicious and rich. I can't eat a lot of this at one time which makes it all the better. I completely flubbed this recipe and it still turned out incredible. Instead of mixing the pudding, water, and sweetened milk together...I made the pudding per the package directions. Since there was no turning back I mixed in the sweetened milk and whipped topping to my already prepared pudding. It turned out fabulous. What a delicious and delectable treat - thank you for this recipe!

Morning Glory Muffins I

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2009
Excellent! I took a reviewer's advice and processed the carrot and apple in a food processor. I also substituted apple butter for applesauce. Instead of adding wheat germ and walnuts to the top, I pulsed them in a food processor and added them to the mix. It turned out wonderfully. I think next time I'll up the whole wheat flour to 1 cup and lower the white flour to 1 cup. I think the raisins give a nice sweetness so I could possibly lower the sugar to 3/4 cup. Make them anyway you want...they will turn out great. Great recipe - very tasty. My 2 year old loved them as well!
