Mushroom Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2012
I love how easy this recipe is. However, I baked mine in the oven @ 350 for about 45 minutes or until the chops were done. I found this helps keep them moist.

Creamy Shrimp Linguine

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2012
Made this the other night and all I can say was, I felt I wasted shrimp! The sauce...My sauce was way too thin. THe swiss cheese wanted to curdle and I was even watching the temp & length I was cooking it. THe minute the stove was turned off, the sauce curdled up. I added more garlic and red pepper flakes to give it some zip. If I was to make this again, I would be adding some crabmeat to help increase the seafood flavor because I felt the shrimp flavor was lost in the sauce.

Peanutty Caramel Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2012
Made exactly as the recipe called for and will be making again. Yummy, thanks. I did grease the bottom of the pan maybe a little bit too much, thought they were going to be really sticky. So next time I make these, I'll cut back on that step but other than that, these were tasty!

Heather's Cilantro, Black Bean, and Corn Salsa

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2011
Pretty good salsa with some modifcations! I added a couple shakes cumin & red pepper to give it that extra kick. While I liked this recipe, I think it's best you play around with some spices in order to give it that personal kick it needs. I also used 1 can of store brand Mexican diced tomatoes in place of the Italian-style called for in the recipe. Everyone seemed to enjoy it. Thanks for the good base for a salsa you can either have mild or fire it up!

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2011
Wow, made this last night and it was YUMMY! I couldn't find sweet Italian sauage so I just used regular Italian sauage and still very good! Added shredded mozzarella right at the. Well definitely make again! Thanks.

Calico Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2011
Just made this yesterday for the Super Bowl in combination to my Mother's recipe. Everything was the same except the amount of brown sugar was cut to 1/2c & hamburger was at 3/4lb. I did add 1/4c of white sugar. Not sure why others were saying too sweet, I love it!!! Good & thick. My husband is not a huge bean fan but thought this was similar to chili, and consumed two HUGE bowls. Will definitely make again.

Strawberry Angel Food Dessert

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2010
LOVED THIS! Instead of crumbling the cake I just ripped mine and it turned out perfect. I did two layers in 9x13 pan & to make it more Christmas festive, I added green food coloring to the whip cream. Makes a lot too. I only used 3/4 cup of sugar as other reviews said it was too sweet. Will definitely make again.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2010
This was pretty good! Doesn't make a lot of sauce but it was plenty for my family of 4. I added some salt and pepper as well as garlic to add some flavor. My 8 & 6 year old really enjoyed this. Not your normal stroganoff, and that's why we enjoyed it! Good over top of egg noddles and/or rice. Yum! Thanks for the super quick meal my family loved.

Restaurant-Style Zuppa Toscana

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2010
Flavor wasn't too bad. I thought it was a little salty and needed some red pepper flakes as suggestived by others. My hubby LOVED this though. I used spinach instead of kale. I would make again but use less bacon and less spinach as this had a lot of bacon flavor.

Penne with Chicken and Pesto

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2009
Wow, this was very good. I did make a few additions... I used the Knorr pesto package, two of them actually. I tossed in some fresh cut-up portobello mushrooms, chopped onion and only a handful of chopped green pepper. Than after I loaded the plates, I tossed in some cut-up grape tomatoes. My kids loved this and I was shocked at how good it was too. Next time, I will cook this just like I did and add even more mushrooms and Parmesan cheese. May have to try to omit the chicken and use crab and shrimp too! YUMMY!

Boiled Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2009
Wow, what a great recipe. This is my first time boiling chicken & I must say, this will be the way to cook it from now on. Very moist, tender, flavorful! Yummy. I cooked it exactly the way it reads, added salt as well as garlic. Chicken falls off the bone. Saved the stock for soup later. Thanks for the recipe.

Slow Cooker Reuben Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2009
OMG, this is the greatest warm dip! Followed the recipe, added a little more Thousand Island to help keep moist but the gang love it! Served with pumpernickel rye bread. Yummy!
