Green Bean and Mushroom Medley

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2010
This recipe is simply AMAZING! The blend of flavors is sooo tasty. The first time I made this, I cut the butter in half, and still thought it a bit too much. So the second time I only used 1/4 of the amount called for, and it was still enough to saute the onions & mushrooms. I used a lemon/pepper seasoning salt and I thought it was just perfect! I steamed the green beans and carrots rather than boiling them, and used half the amount of salt called for - the full amount would have been too much, IMO. Very, very good recipe! I can't wait to make it again!

Chocolate Truffle Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2010
SCRUMPTIOUS! Sooo chocolatey, these are simply fabulous. I didn't change a thing, and this recipe doesn't need it! I liked that it made as many as it said, also - a lot of cookie recipes tend to make fewer than they're supposed to. If you're debating about trying these out, debate no longer! They are WORTH it, trust me! They are also really quite quick to mix together, just plan ahead for the refrigeration time.

Beef and Pasta

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2010
I made this for four picky little eaters. Their review? "Yummy!" I didn't have worcestershire sauce, so I left it out. I also used chicken broth instead of vegetable, since that's what I had. I sprinkled cheddar cheese on each portion separately. I thought it quite scrumptious considering how quickly it came together! A nice, hearty pasta meal.

Mango Lassi II

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2011
This was delicious! Make sure and use nice ripe mangoes for the best taste. I cut the sugar in half just to save calories - however I think the amount called for wouldn't have been too much at all.

Peanut Brittle

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2009
This was a very good peanut brittle recipe! My first time making it, and I am very pleased with the results. I followed another reviewer's suggestion and used more peanuts than called for - I think I used about 1 1/2 cups. However I thought it would have been best with fewer peanuts... as the recipe says. :) I suppose it's all a matter of personal preference though. Great, easy-to-follow recipe!

Mocha Walnut Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2009
These were WONDERFUL! I made a double batch (48 servings) and my family of 10 ate 2 dozen before the next two pans were even out of the ovens! I added 1/2 cup extra flour, as another reviewer suggested. I can see why they would spread a lot if you stuck to the original recipe... so it's a matter of personal preference if you want large, thin cookies or small, thick ones. :) I'm so glad I tried this recipe, it is our new favorite! Highly recommend!!!!

Make-Ahead Vegetable Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2010
Great, wholesome recipe! As another reviewer mentioned, I love the fact that it doesn't call for oil. Nor does it need it! I love how this salad is both sweet and tangy... not to mention very delicious! Definitely recommend.
