Beer Sausage

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2013
I loved this dish, I have to say the Italian seasoning just didn't sound right so I left it out completely. I did use the salt and pepper and added Mrs. Dash with Garlic. YUM! I used a bottle of Blue Moon for the beer. I read other reviews and used only half of a small cabbage and it was plenty for the two of us and enough for lunch the next day. Also based on other reviews I just put all the ingredients in one big plop. My husband loved it and said we need to have this more often. Winner Winner Sausage dinner. :D

Corned Beef and Cabbage I

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2012
Absolutely delicious and easy peasy to prepare. The ONLY variation on this recipe was I allowed the beef to boil first so I could skim the slime off the top (as suggested by another reviewer) then I added the spice packet and set it to simmer. The house smells devine and on this rainy St. Patricks the window are steamy and cozy is the house.

Perfect Turkey

I will never cook a turkey in any other way. This was perfection unto itself. Turning the bird over is tricky but well worth the effort.

This soup has sadly (sniff) replaced my own potato soup recipe as my husband's favorite... In his words "that was TREMENDOUS"

Minnesota Wild Rice Dressing

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2011
This is so easy to make and absolutely delicious. My husband couldn't wait he had to have a bowl before it hit the oven (prior to the eggs) and he loved it. Thank you for sharing this recipe, it will become a Thanksgiving tradition in our family.

Super Easy Rotisserie Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2011
I couldn't believe how good this is.... I had a rotisserie chicken I wanted to use and just happened to have the biscuits. I followed someone's suggestion and added frozen mixed veggies and used 1 can of cream of celery and 1 can of cream of chicken. I added some thyme and black pepper. My husband loved it. I will be using this with my left over chicken all winter.

Cranberry Orange Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2011
Opted for Muffins instead of bread loaf. This recipe yielded a dozen muffins. I baked them for approximately 30 minutes and checked them. They were already browning I continued baking for another 10 minutes to absolute perfection. Will definitely make these again and again.

Chicken Piccata II

WOW!! Boneless Skinless Chicken breasts will never be the same. I used low sodium chicken broth instead of bouillon powder otherwise followed this recipe exactly.

Slow-Cooker Posole

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2011
We loved this dish. Very satisfying stew consistency, we didn't need to add beans to thicken as others before have mentioned. We are not hot and spicy lovers and I was a little apprehensive about this. I didn't add cayenne and used only a mild enchilada sauce, and a teaspoon of cumin. Instead of adding water I added only a cup and a half of chicken broth. We served it with wedges of lime, shredded cabbage and some crushed tortilla chips. This by far is the best dish that ever came out of my crock pot!

Very good. I made this exactly as written, very good but needs a tad more tart to my taste next time will add apple cider vinegar and celery for more savory.
