Peachy Mustard Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2010
I used half of the sauce to marinate the pork overnight then basted the rest on while broiling for 10 minutes. Came out fantastic!

Caramelized Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2010
I did this recipe to a T and got the same results as everyone else with lack of caramelization. Then I experimented with the size of the pan. I used legs instead of wings and put fewer pieces into the same size to let the sauce thin on the bottom of the pan. After half of the bake time I took out the pans, flipped the chicken and basted them. But this time the sauce did caramelize. At the end of the bake time I basted one more time to get some extra sauce onto it before serving and it came out wonderfully! I also recommend marinating chicken breasts in the sauce for 20-30 minutes before baking and serving over a bed of rice.

Perfect Sushi Rice

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2010
This recipe was perfect for making sushi rice! I used a little less than 1/2 cup of rice vinegar and the taste of it came out wonderfully! Now to make rolls that will actually stay together... :-/

Asian Coconut Rice

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2009
I suppose there's so many different reviews on this recipe because a majority of people don't know what the proper additions are to coconut rice. If you think you'll get the answer in this review, you are terribly mistaken. I find how you make the coconut rice itself will dictate what should be served with it. If you want to omit the salt and rice I'd suggest eating it with chicken or another meat. If you'd like to try this as a dessert then keep the sugar (maybe even add more to your liking) and top it off with sliced almonds, ripe mangos, kiwis, mandarin oranges and pineapple. I like making almost a casserole with these latter ingredients and serving while luke warm(with a dash more sugar to give it a more dessert-like flavor). But really this recipe is the perfect one to play around with because the outcomes are endless!

Sausage Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2009
I was amazed at how great this turned out! Next time I'll cut back on the salt (maybe to a pinch). I also added a bit more cheese because the 1 cup didn't cover it entirely. It was easy, and affordable for a college student's budget! Definitely keeping this in my recipe box!

Best Guacamole

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2009
I agree with a lot of the other reviews. I omitted the onion and oil and added a tomato, some cumin, cilantro, and garlic powder. Came out great after sitting in the fridge for an hour!

Chicken Florentine Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2009
This recipe convinced some of my friends that mushrooms and copious amounts of spinach can taste great! I doubled the amount for the cream sauce and it turned out fantastic. The leftovers were even better after allowing everything to set!
