Mom's Best Meatloaf

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2011
The meatloaf was too runny and didn't hold together after baking.

I thought this recipe was a bit bland, but my roommates loved it and clamored for me. The best part for me was that I had all ingredients on hand and it was easy to prepare.

Pork Chops with Apple Curry Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2010
These were absolutely amazing! I substituted grape/peach juice for the apple sauce (since that's what I had on hand) and it still turned out terrific. My fiance and girlfriend loved them and there were no leftovers.

Red Wine Flavored Beef

This was amazing! I added carrots and a few of the things others had suggested (such as more seasonings). I also thickened the sauce to form a gravy and served over mashed potatoes. My boyfriend and roommate loved it!

Pollo Mediterranean

I used canned tomatoes with chilis and it was too spicy. Not sure how much better it would taste with the sun-dried tomatoes.

This was everything I expected (based on the title and reviews). I added a few tomatoes and some spinach, as well as doubled the curry powder. Excellent served with rice!

Rich Penne Pasta

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2010
I followed other's advice and used cream cheese, rather than half-and-half. I also substituted chicken for the sausage and diced tomatoes for the stewed ones. This recipe was easy to make and tasted OK, but not superb.

Slow Cooker Pineapple Pork Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2010
This was excellent. My boyfriend and I LOVED it. We agree that it's a keeper, both because it's easy and it tastes good. I followed some of the previous commenter's advice: 1. I used canned whole cranberry sauce, which I first blended in a food processor. 2 I used a 3 1/2 lb pork roast. 3. I sprinkled the meat with thyme, garlic powder, dried onions, onion salt, pepper, soy sauce, and brown sugar. 4. I cooked the roast on low for 2 hours and high for 2 hours, flipping it over once.

This tasted great, but it didn't bake well. The top burned by the time the inside was done.
