Campbell's® Golden Chicken with Noodles

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2010
Our family loves this recipe. The chicken is very tender and has an appealing look and flavor, even for picky eaters. It is also very easy to make. Found it in a Campbells book a long time ago and lost it! I am so happy to have found the recipe here!

Very nice, and kid friendly! We did not make the icing, (we had pancakes for dinner, icing seems a little too sweet!)

Megan's Granola

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2010
This is better than any cereal you can buy in the store. Plus, YOU have control over what goes into it! Modifications we made were, 1/2 cup ground flax was added. Coconut and olive oil were used instead of vegetable oil, and we added in a cup of date pellets. We are looking forward to trying dried coconut and some other ingredients next time. As another reviewer said, if you have never made granola before, you need more instructions. The ingredients get crispy as they COOL. I too kept my granola in the oven, expecting it to get hard in there, and it didn't. It still turned out well, but probably a little over cooked. Also, It dried into one big container shaped rock, so let it cool before you poor it into your container.

Good, but greasy. Like any other fried potatoes.

tasted ok, but did not carmelize. Perhaps you should republish this recipe with some adjustments.

Pineapple Casserole II

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2010
This was very good, and everyone loved it. A good friend of mine makes a version of this that is wonderful. It got 3 stars because I reduced the sugar to 1/2 cup as someone suggested and even lowered the amount of butter, and it was very very rich. I cannot imagine how sweet it would be with the full amount of sugar.

We used this recipe for fried halibut instead of chicken. No modifications, and very very good.

We made one for ourselves and one for our neighbor. Very good- like pumpkin pie, but REALLY REALLY sweet! I will try one with less sugar next time.

Baked Oatmeal II

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2009
This is a keeper. With some of the suggestions, I decreased the sugar to 1/2 cup and used apple sauce for part of the butter. Also added an extra teaspoon of cinnamon. Instead of dried fruit, I used frozen blueberries and leftover fresh cranberries from Thanksgiving. Probably good with all types of different fruit, and even some chopped walnuts or almonds!

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2009
This was pretty good! We added some fresh chopped cranberries left from Thanksgiving, and it made it very pretty. I also used whole wheat flour instead of regular and a square of bakers chocolate because we didn't have any cocao. Will probably make again!

White Beans and Tuna Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2009
We didn't have the relish or the capers, but this was already way too strong with the dijon. My husband said he had to gag down his lunch. Would be much better with a few adjustments.

Juicy Thanksgiving Turkey

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2009
I was so excited after all the great comments here. The gravy from the champagne was incredible, but the turkey wasn't to die for. It wasn't as moist as I had hoped for, pretty ordinary. It is possible that I did something wrong, or cooked it too long for the size. I may try again sometime with a much larger turkey.

Slow Cooker Stuffing

MMMMM. We bought some fresh 7 grain bread from the store and made our own bread crumbs in the oven for this. It has a great flavor, and sure beats the stuff out of the box!

Sausage Smothered in Red Cabbage

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2009
This was sooooo good, and very pretty too. We don't usually have red cabbage, but recieved some in our vegetable order this week. This recipe sounded strange to me, but we had the ingredients, so I decided to give it a try. My husband said it looked like something that he would never eat, but then couldn't stop eating it! He then begged me to put some in his lunch tomorrow! Very satisfying, I added extra wine vinegar for a little extra zing, and served it with rice since we are saving our potatoes for Thanksgiving. Very good. You need to try this!
