these came out so good, i made a train from mine, and unfortunately, the caboose was eaten by my mom's husband, adn my kids before i even got to assemble it. Guess that means they like it too!

RWOP Finalist: Tantalizing Tilapia

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2012
A little too much burn for some of my people so i decreased the amount of spices, but other than that it is great. The shrimp sauce is dang near perfect. My kids eat it without complaint which is always a plus. i have made this recipe multiple times and will continue to make it.

Fresh Papaya Jam

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2013
yummy! The only change i made (because we like sweet and spicy) was to add 2 habeneros. It came out so good. I had got a bunch of papayas from the local food bank and had no idea what to do with them. By happy chance, my grandmother had just given me a bunch of old canning jars. so now i have several batches of Delicious Habenero-Papaya jam and a few batches of regular will be made up tomorrow. It didn't take too long, because i had 3 little helpers to mash the papayas for me. This recipe is definately a keeper

Conchas (Mexican Sweet Bread)

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2014
i have made these several times, this recipe is pretty close to perfection. My mother's new husband was born and raised in the heart of mexico, and usually has something negative to say about my cooking, but when i make these he has nothing to say at all because he is busy scarfing these bad boys down! My kids love them too and it is so much cheaper than paying for them in stores, and definately better tasting than any store brand. I will be using this recipe for years to come.
