About this Cook
I like to cook. during the winter on a Sunday after noon you will find me in the kitchen cooking up a lucious meal. During the nice weather I head out to the grill. I use a Weber gas grill, but my favorite is the Weber kettle grill. Hubby retro-fitted it so I can use a rotisserie on it. I have a smoker and love smoking my fresh caught salmon on it.
My favorite things to cook
I'll try just about anything. I enjoy making comfort food, but I'm open to trying new things. There's so much delicious food in the world. I need to warn you, most of my reciepes don't have measurements, some of this a pour of that!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Holiday meals with friends and family. My Mom and Aunt were excellent cooks and taught me well. They made the simplest dish awesome.
My cooking triumphs
Cooking the receipes my husband cuts out of the newspaper and tasting a dish in a restaurant then going home to duplicate it.
My cooking tragedies
Unknowingly frying a stewing chiken and broiling a round steak when I first started cooking at 12.

Sloppy Joes II
I made these and haven't stopped making them. My husband loves them and asks for them once a week. The only things I changed, I added 1/2 cup Sweet Baby Ray's bar-b-que sauce and only used 2 teaspoons of brown sugar. They are the best.

Camarones al Ajillo (Garlic Shrimp)
This was fabulous. I did change a few things. Instead of using tomatoe sauce I substituted 1 can of diced tomatoes and served over speghetti. I also cut the garlic down to 5 large cloves pressed. My husband and sister loved it, my sister got up during th night and had some left overs.

This is very good, we make it all the time now. I didn't feel the need to change a thing. Best guacamole recipe I have ever made.
