Pizza Pinwheels

Easy, tasty, quick recipe! And honestly you don't even need the recipe itself...just the ingedients list. I didn't have any problems with oozing but I also didn't overload the crescent with too much sauce. Freezing is a great tip...but if you're short on time like I always am...then just cut them after baking & cooling. I used a butcher style knife so that I didn't have to drag the knife and cause a mess. Works great! Oh and I also found garlic crescent rolls which are awesome for this recipe.

Tater Taco Casserole

SO GOOD! My boyfriend couldn't get enough of this tasty dish. I pretty much stuck to the original recipe with just a few minor changes...I added black beans as well as 8oz of sourcream to the mix. I also cook my tater tots while I was prepping the casserole so they were about half cooked and I also put tots on bottom of dish covered with mixture then added more tots to the top and covered with cheese when almost finished cooking and turned to broil the last 2-3 minutes to get the tots on the top crispy...very good! This will be a regular dish in our house.

Warm Crab Parmesan Dip

I love crab and hoped this dip would be more "crabby" than it is but I give 4 stars because it is a great dip made just as the recipe is written...to make mine more "crabby" I added an extra can of crab meat (real thing no imitation) and also changed the sour cream and mayo both to the light versions...and in a pinch had to use garlic powder rather than fresh cloves but still turned out yummy!

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Love it! This dip is so quick and easy to make and it's always a hit. I always use all WHITE meat chicken from the can and buy a national brand not store brand. You can also use fresh cooked chicken but I use the can when making this dish because it's cheaper and easier.

Cake Balls

Awesome recipe! A coworker gave these as a Christmas treat and I had to have the recipe...little did I know it was this easy! I hate making candy because it's labor intensive even though it's so good but these are REALLY easy. I don't know why people are saying they are messy. Maybe the melted chocolate coating? Tips: Don't use all of the icing...add about half and see if that works to form a ball if not add a little more until desired consistency. The complaints a mushy mixture is caused by using the whole tub of icing. Also refridgerating is necessary after the balls are formed before dipping them in the chocolate coating...I put mine in the freezer for about 2 hours or you could refridgerate overnight...this helped to make coating them easy. I used a slotted spoon rather than toothpicks. I just placed the ball in the spoon then used another spoon to pour the chocolate over top of the ball. The excess runs out of the slots in the spoon and you don't have holes from toothpicks and they stay perfectly round! I added sprinkles to the top of mine to make them more festive. I used German chocolate cake milk chocolate icing and milk chocolate coating since that's what I had at home but I can't wait to try different variations of this recipe! Its a hit!

Breakfast Pizza I

Wonderful Recipe! I usually recreate recipes to suit our tastes and preferences but this was wonderful just how it was written. The only suggestion that I have is to add some crumbled bacon on top or in the mixture and make sure that you are using a pizza pan with a lip...Pizza Stones will not work (to my disappointment) or you can use a 9x13 casserole dish...both work well but we like the look on a round pizza dish better!

Smothered Bacon Chicken

Not a good recipe but a good concept. The recipe as itself is lacking...but by following the suggestions of others it made a great dinner. I added parmesan cheese, minced garlic, onion powder to the sour cream and soup mixture. Also added sauteed mushrooms to the top of the chicken before covering with soup mixture. It was good but still lacking something...next time I think I will add a slice of swiss cheese wrapped around chicken before wrapping the bacon and see if that makes it better.

Vernita's Broccoli Casserole

I made this for a Christmas dinner side dish this year and got rave reviews. I did tweak it a little...I sauteed the onion first, chopped up the broccoli a little and increased the Ritz Crackers to about a 1/2 sleeve. I also used sharp cheddar for a stronger flavor and added a tablespoon of garlic salt and used low sodium mushroom soup instead

Breakfast Casserole

Was not impressed. I've made many breakfast casserole variations and this was my least favorite so far. The chicken and ham combo was strange and didn't create a breakfasty flavor so I tried again with Sausage and bacon...still not good and not worth the calories that are in this thing. The potatoe chips are out of place on a breakfast casserole and the sour cream was way too much. The flavor is very bland...also the cook time on this is INCREDIBLY off unless the goal is uncooked potatoes. I baked mine for over an hour and finally got the desired texture. Not worth the effort unless you considerable change the recipe but adding more flavor with spices or a hot sauce if that's what you prefer. Loose the chips and butter...just add unnecessary fat and calories and not enough last or texture to matter. Less sour cream and either double the ham or double the chicken but don't mix the two. More cheese (I suggest a sharp cheddar for better flavor) and garlic or onion powder as well as the chopped onion (which by the way needs to be sauteed first if you stick with the original recipes). I'll make my own version of this again but not the original recipe as written here.

Ultimate Breakfast Casserole

This is not a 4.5 star recipe...I wish it was because I wanted it to be great...it just missed the mark. I tried the recipe just as described and received mediocre reviews. My boyfriend barely ate one small helping and he always has seconds of everything that I cook. It was very bland and the sour cream didn't seem to help with the unappealing flavor. The concept of this receipe is great...but it needs considerable work. Some spices would definitely help and less sour cream would be recommended. I would suggest also adding an onion soup mix to the mixture for extra flavor or garlic powder. 3/4 a cup of cheese is also not nearly enough for this size casserole. I would increase to 1 cup in the mixture as well as at least a 1/2 cup on top. Also a 30 minute cook time is not long enough...the potatoes will not be soft. I cooked mine for 50 minutes before they were soft enough and had to cover the dish about half way through to keep from getting too brown on top. I will try this again but with various changes...I do not recommend this recipe the way it was written. Make your own variation

Marshmallow Treats

Mine did not turn out as well as everyone elses. I've never made homemade rice krispy treats before and I followed the directions to the letter but mine turned out tasting almost stale so I double checked the cereal and it was fresh so any suggestions as to how to make them not taste stale. I gave the recipe five stars because it was really easy and my boyfriend didn't think there was anything wrong with them...so maybe this is how they're supposed to be and everyone else is just using the term "gooey" instead?

Breakfast Sausage Casserole

I made this for a work Christmas breakfast today and everyone loved it. There were four other breakfast casseroles and this one was the only one that was completely devoured. I usually tweak any recipe that I make but I didn't change a thing to this one and it was PERFECT!

Simple Ranchy Breaded Fish Fillets

We really enjoyed this made with Red Snapper since that's what we had at home. Of course I made a few changes...first off after reading other reviews I decided to half the ranch packet, I also decided to not try to make a paste so I mixed the dry ranch into the breadcrumbs and added some parmesan cheese to this also. I used a wet mixture of butter and milk with egg to dredge the fish in then coated with the breadcrumb mixture. Then, like other reviewers, I baked this for about 25-35 minutes. Just make sure to grease your dish or the fish will stick. My boyfriend loved this and he is not a big fish eater. I can not imagine using the entire packet of ranch unless you doubled the fish. Ours was very flavorful with only half a packet...no need to salt this dish!

Slow Cooker Tamale Pie

I made this last night for dinner and it was a huge hit. The recipe itself sounded yummy but after reading the reviews I decided to tweak it a little also. First I used mexican style cornbread mix which gave it a little extra flavor. Also I added some hot sauce to the mixture to add a little spice & onion powder which helped and topped off with extra cheese and sour cream. Also baked this recipe rather than using the crock pot and this worked great and cooked in less than 30 minutes. We are adding this to our dinner rotation. My boyfriend and I both had seconds and there were still leftovers.

Easy OREO Truffles

These are really easy and delicious! My family always requests these around the holidays and I have added several variations to make them different; mint oreos, nutter butter, and I've also added different flavorings to the chocolate such as almond & mint for an extra kick.

Baked Parmesan-Crusted Chicken

This is one of my favorite recipes to use with chicken breast. It's very easy but tastes wonderful. I took the advice of some of the other reviews and added more parmesan cheese and bit more spices than what the recipe called for. This added much more flavor. To help keep chicken moist I poured the extra butter around the edges...all and all a wonderful, easy dish. My boyfriend, the picky eater, loves it!
