Sweet and Sour Chicken I

AMAZING!!! ive been making sweet and sour chicken in a crockpot recipe but never again!!!! this is the best recipe for the lovers of resturant style chicken. the ony thing i did different was spinkle the cut uncoated chicken wit salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

Brownie Chocolate Chip Cheesecake

let me start by saying im a pretty good cheesecake baker. i thought it was a good concept but i did not enjoy the texture of the cheese cake it was not close to the creamy ones i have made before. though i may attempt it again just to see if i can get it to come out better!

Real Italian Calzones

nice change. good flavor.i mae 4 of them i wish i would have added more stuffing. it doesnt look like they will even close with all that stuffing but when you cook them it doesnt look like nearly enough. i used mozzerela instead of cheddar of course. i didnt use mushrooms but next time i think ill make it with sausage. i always have a hard time with any dough i make coming out to crunchy, i dont know what im doing wrong there!

Caramelized Baked Chicken

i used this as a wing sauce and it was awesome. i marinated 10 wings in 1/2c flour mixed w/ 1ts garlic powder 1ts pepper 1ts salt and 1ts cayenne pepper and tossed the wings and chilled for an hour. then i deep fryed the wings for 10 mins.then tossed in this wonderful sauce, which i did cut in 1/2.

Burrito Pie

very very good definitly will make again. i didnt mix the refried beas in the meat i spead them on the tortilla. i did cut this recipe in half and i still had some left (i only cook for 3). i used 3 tortillas a layer also.

Marinated Ranch Broiled Chicken

thought it was very good i cooked it on 350 for 40 mins covered then 15 uncovered basting every 15 mins. i didnt have red wine vinegar so i used regular vinegar. turned out very good. would be good in a salad. yum

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Very good. I only used 1tbs of sugar and 1tbs of brown sugar. I used apricot perserve. I tried to find the chips in the store so I didnt have to make them but I could only find them in small bags. They were easier to make than I thought!!! I did exactly what it said to do on the chips I used 4:1 ratio of sugar to cinnamon!

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

I dont like meatloaf, but I make this all the time and I love it! I use 3/4c of italian breadcrumbs because thier already mostly seasoned. But I also add 1ts garlic powder, 2ts of onion powder (we dont like onions in our house), 1ts salt, 1/2ts pepper, 1/2ts ginger, and 1tbs of brown sugar. I use only 1/4c of ketchup and 1/4c of worchestire. I use 2 pieces of bread on the bottom of the pan.I use 1/4 of the sauce on the top not the bottom and cook for 45 mins and then flip it over onto a plate, remove the bread and flip it back into the pand and add 1/4 more of the sauce. Let it cook for 15 more mins and take it out add 1/4 more let it rest 15 mins, slice it and add the rest of the sauce. This is a keeper!!!

Chocolate Mint Cookies I

I love these cookies, but alot people dont like mint cookies i guess. The only this i did different was I used 1 1/2c of choc chips and 1/2c of choc mint baking chips. I didnt use the extract. For some reason it makes double what the recipe says around 32. When thier done i sprinkle a couple mint backing chips on each. Thier so worth making.

Easy OREO Truffles

Personally I LOVED these, but Im a big sweets fan, alot of people thought they were to sweet, even I could only eat 2 or 3 of them. I did exactly how the recipe said, except i didnt have a food processer so i used a blender which is a pain because you can only crush about 5 or 6 at a time. I didnt have a double boiler so i used a saucepan with boiling water with a larger saucepan laid over it. I found the chocolate stiffened fast after about the first half and they were starting to look sloppy, a added a little bit of milk which did wonders!!! They were definitly yummy!

Honey Baked Chicken II

I made this tonight and it turned out good but not great. I did everything the same but i covered it for the first 45 mins and left it uncovered 15 mins and basted it 2 or 3 times. The only thing I was disapointed in was how thin the sauce was. I tried added 2 ts of cornstarch when it was done but that just gave it a powdery texture which was not horrble but not good. Overall, I would make it again but try to figure a way to thicken the sauce when after its done.

Anniversary Chicken I

I took someones review and decided to try it in the crock pot. I took skinless bonless breast and did eggwash and breadcrumbs and browed them for about 5 mins then put the in the slow cooker with 1c teriyaki and 1/2 c of ranch and left it on low for about 5 hrs. the i put the cheese and bacon on top and baked for about 8 mins...it was HORRIBLE...it was WAY to salty and nobody took more than one bite...if you going to make this do not put it in the slow cooker!!!

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

I registered with allrecipes.com just to review this recipe! This was the best dish I have ever ate let alone made. I customized it by putting all reviewer suggestions together. I only did 3 servings. I pounded the chicken probally 1/4" thick and put about 1tbs of dijon mustard in each. I used 1 slice of thick ham wrapped around 2 pieces of provolone. I tied it with cooking string and fried it in 3tbs of butter and 3tbs of extra vigin olive oil on med high 5 mins each side. Baked at 350 for 20 mins. I poured 1/4 of the butter/oil in a saucepan on med along w/ 1c chicken broth and 2ts of bouillon for about 9 mins with a lid then added a slice of provolone for 1 min. Then i added 2c of whipping cream(regular) and 2tbs of cornstarch and simmer for 5 mins and boil for 5mins until thick and poured it all in the pan with the chicken. It was AMAZING!!!
