Real Italian Calzones

Reviewed: May 25, 2010
nice change. good flavor.i mae 4 of them i wish i would have added more stuffing. it doesnt look like they will even close with all that stuffing but when you cook them it doesnt look like nearly enough. i used mozzerela instead of cheddar of course. i didnt use mushrooms but next time i think ill make it with sausage. i always have a hard time with any dough i make coming out to crunchy, i dont know what im doing wrong there!

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2010
Very good. I only used 1tbs of sugar and 1tbs of brown sugar. I used apricot perserve. I tried to find the chips in the store so I didnt have to make them but I could only find them in small bags. They were easier to make than I thought!!! I did exactly what it said to do on the chips I used 4:1 ratio of sugar to cinnamon!

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2010
I dont like meatloaf, but I make this all the time and I love it! I use 3/4c of italian breadcrumbs because thier already mostly seasoned. But I also add 1ts garlic powder, 2ts of onion powder (we dont like onions in our house), 1ts salt, 1/2ts pepper, 1/2ts ginger, and 1tbs of brown sugar. I use only 1/4c of ketchup and 1/4c of worchestire. I use 2 pieces of bread on the bottom of the pan.I use 1/4 of the sauce on the top not the bottom and cook for 45 mins and then flip it over onto a plate, remove the bread and flip it back into the pand and add 1/4 more of the sauce. Let it cook for 15 more mins and take it out add 1/4 more let it rest 15 mins, slice it and add the rest of the sauce. This is a keeper!!!

Chocolate Mint Cookies I

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2010
I love these cookies, but alot people dont like mint cookies i guess. The only this i did different was I used 1 1/2c of choc chips and 1/2c of choc mint baking chips. I didnt use the extract. For some reason it makes double what the recipe says around 32. When thier done i sprinkle a couple mint backing chips on each. Thier so worth making.

Easy OREO Truffles

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2010
Personally I LOVED these, but Im a big sweets fan, alot of people thought they were to sweet, even I could only eat 2 or 3 of them. I did exactly how the recipe said, except i didnt have a food processer so i used a blender which is a pain because you can only crush about 5 or 6 at a time. I didnt have a double boiler so i used a saucepan with boiling water with a larger saucepan laid over it. I found the chocolate stiffened fast after about the first half and they were starting to look sloppy, a added a little bit of milk which did wonders!!! They were definitly yummy!

Honey Baked Chicken II

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2010
I made this tonight and it turned out good but not great. I did everything the same but i covered it for the first 45 mins and left it uncovered 15 mins and basted it 2 or 3 times. The only thing I was disapointed in was how thin the sauce was. I tried added 2 ts of cornstarch when it was done but that just gave it a powdery texture which was not horrble but not good. Overall, I would make it again but try to figure a way to thicken the sauce when after its done.

Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2010
I took someones review and decided to try it in the crock pot. I took skinless bonless breast and did eggwash and breadcrumbs and browed them for about 5 mins then put the in the slow cooker with 1c teriyaki and 1/2 c of ranch and left it on low for about 5 hrs. the i put the cheese and bacon on top and baked for about 8 mins...it was HORRIBLE...it was WAY to salty and nobody took more than one bite...if you going to make this do not put it in the slow cooker!!!

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2009
I registered with allrecipes.com just to review this recipe! This was the best dish I have ever ate let alone made. I customized it by putting all reviewer suggestions together. I only did 3 servings. I pounded the chicken probally 1/4" thick and put about 1tbs of dijon mustard in each. I used 1 slice of thick ham wrapped around 2 pieces of provolone. I tied it with cooking string and fried it in 3tbs of butter and 3tbs of extra vigin olive oil on med high 5 mins each side. Baked at 350 for 20 mins. I poured 1/4 of the butter/oil in a saucepan on med along w/ 1c chicken broth and 2ts of bouillon for about 9 mins with a lid then added a slice of provolone for 1 min. Then i added 2c of whipping cream(regular) and 2tbs of cornstarch and simmer for 5 mins and boil for 5mins until thick and poured it all in the pan with the chicken. It was AMAZING!!!
