Baked Hawaiian Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2014
I made these last night for my knitting group and they were a big hit!! I'm sure the original recipe is fabulous, but I made a few changes: used all Swiss cheese (that's how I found the recipe: looking to use up Swiss cheese); used just ham, no turkey; omitted poppy seeds, and slightly reduced amount of onion flakes but that was a mistake--definitely use the full 1/4 cup--substituted 1/2 Tbsp grainy mustard and 1/2 Tbsp honey for the honey mustard. Next time I will try with the full amount of onions, with a bit extra mustard, and the poppy seeds. Line your pan with parchment paper so you don't have to worry about them sticking to your baking sheet. Will definitely be making these again!! Oh, and I'm with the other reviewer who said he/she could drink the sauce!!

Bacon Crackers

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2012
I'm making these tonight for the third or fourth time for my needlecrafts group...they also get eaten up fast! I cut each piece of bacon into 6 pieces and use Multi-Grain Club crackers.

Taco Lasagna

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2012
I made this for my needlecrafts group, and it was a hit! I had corn tortillas I wanted to use up, so I did an ingredient search, and found this. I made it a little less spicy, but loved how it turned out.

Warm Blue Cheese Dip with Garlic and Bacon

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2011
This dip is so tasty! I made it last night and took it to my knitting group with celery sticks, petite carrots, and cracker sticks. I did not have fresh chives and used dried chives instead. Otherwise I followed the recipe as is. I could've eaten the whole dish myself.

Flax and Sunflower Seed Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2009
Very tasty! Good toasted, with coconut oil, agave syrup and cinnamon. I've made this a second time now, and I put the sunflower seeds in at the beginning along with the flax seeds and it turned out just fine! This time I substituted agave syrup for part of the honey. My first loaf collapsed just a bit on top, so the second time I decreased the yeast only a tiny amount and it came out beautifully!
