November Faceless Frenzy - Here we go again!

It's that time again!  Time to FRENZY!

November 1 - 3rd join us for a fun filled crazy weekend of faceless mania.
From 12 AM Friday November 1st through midnight Sunday, November 3rd  let's join together to make and photograph as many faceless recipes as we can.  (Reviews can be done later if necessary)
What is a faceless recipe?
A faceless recipe is a recipe that has no picture.   If we bump into each other, that is OK, it happens.
Can I reserve a recipe?
No, there is no "calling" or reserving a recipe.  All faceless recipes are fair game!
I can only do a couple, is that OK?
Of course!  Do as many or as few as you can.  Together we can make a BIG impact!   Every recipe counts!
Helpful tips:
-  Enlist the help of friends and family.  You will need 'eaters' and sous chefs, dish washers
-  Use the menu planner on AR to help organize your recipes.
-  Choose recipes that use similar ingredients to minimize cost and facilitate numerous recipes.
-  Prepping in advance is allowed.  Chop those onions, snip those herbs!  Be ready to rock and roll all weekend long.
Post your recipes!
- to the ongoing thread on AR that will start November 1st.
- to the Pinterest Board "November Faceless Frenzy"
- to your facebook page, personal blog, twitter or anywhere else you would like!
The Official Count of faceless recipes will be tracked by us on the Pinterest Board.  If you are not on Pinterest, let us know and we will pin them for you.
This is not an official AllRecipes event.  There are no official  'prizes'  or awards.   So why do this?  For a sense of accomplishment, personal satisfaction and for a wonderful connection with the AR community.

As far as I know, I am all in! Accepted the invite and already have a faceless menu too! I loved doing the few for the last frenzy, so much posting and some really good recipes that truely need a face. And I've done at least one each month since! Just wish the photos I take were better, oh well, a face is a face!

This sounds like fun! I just got a brand spanking new oven too! I have been under the weather lately, but hopefully I am coming around, and can do a couple recipes. I don't have Pinterest, but I am on Facebook. Or am I correct in understanding that I can just look for the post on the Buzz beginning on Nov. 1st, and just join in? (sorry if that is a silly question- blame it on the NyQuil :) )

Hi Puck. Yes, you can just look for the thread on the buzz - let us know that you are not on pinterest and one of us will pin it for you. Glad you can join us!

This sounds like fun! If my kitchen is ready, I'm in! I am in desperate need of Pinterest help. Still haven't figured it out. I'm registered as CookinCyn. That's the next project on my list. Any pointers are much appreciated!

Hi Cyn! I will try adding you to the group board. An invite should show up either in your email or on the top right of your pinterest page. You have to accept the invite and then the board should be listed for you to pin to.

Cookin'Cyn - I don't seem to be able to find you on pinterest. Let me see if I can get someone to help find you so we can add you to the board.

Meat Bolognese w/Linguine This is an excellent recipe. I made no changes Except! I know you knew there would be an except in there! The only change I made was in the method of cooking. I first rendered the sausage meat in the same pot as I sauteed the veggies in. My family and I enjoyed this and we will make this again. Thanks Candice!!!

About Me
Every morning my granddaughter calls and says, "Good morning Nana. Whatcha doing? Are you baking Nana?" Hence my name, Baking Nana. I love to bake bread and never get tired of it. Yeast is additive! Visit me at If you would like to contact me directly please use the 'Contact Me' on my site.
My favorite things to cook
I go through phases, Asian for a while then Italian then on to something else. I love experimenting with new flavors and different spices. Some times my husband will ask if we will ever have "ordinary" food again. Once in a while I have to toss him a burger just to keep quite! Actually, he is a good sport and my favorite taste tester.
My favorite family cooking traditions
In our family if it is your birthday you get to choose the menu. We have had some really interesting meals. In March we have 5 birthdays so we do one big party - what a crazy menu that is! Christmas dinner is very traditional. Sausage rolls, Prime Rib, Yorkshire Pudding, gravy, Green beans with bacon, Mashed Potatoes (the really fattening kind) and trifle for dessert. If I were to dare to omit any of those items I would be lynched.
My cooking triumphs
Mastering really great bread is probably my biggest triumph. I am always so pleased when I create a perfect Asian dish.
My cooking tragedies
There have been a few but none so horrible that I can't laugh about them now.
