I have written about my "hero" before. He has served his country and he has served his family well. This week, my hero is taking on the hardest mission
of his life.
You see, his sister, my niece Katherine - 35 years old is fighting the ultimate battle.
My hero is on his way to see his sister, possibly for the last time.
Katherine is 35, has two children.
Two children that deserve to know their mother.
Katherine has cancer.
You can read her story here.
I cannot imagine what my sister, Katherine's mother, is going through. My sister is a warrior! As she guides her grandchildren she has to put one
foot in front of the other as she faces the doctors grim prognosis for her own child.
Ultimately, we may never know exactly why a young, otherwise healthy woman could develop this type of invasive cancer. If you have ever read my blog
- you already know what I think.
We need clean food, clean water and clean air.
Katherine is strong in her faith.
We believe in miracles.
We believe in the power of prayer.
