Drum roll, please!   

The numbers are in! 

On the weekend of February 23 - 24, 2013

Sixty two amazing Allrecipeeps joined forces to make and photograph a total of 333 faceless recipes!  

That's right!  48 hours of non stop cooking fun = 333 recipes that are now sporting pretty pictures.  

What a wonderful community effort.

You guys ROCK!

Although we don't have another 'frenzy' planned we are working on recipes throughout the month of March.  If you would like to join the March Pinterest board let me know and I will add you.

We are about mid way through the month of March and have already pinned 152 recipes this month.  March Madness Faceless Pinterest Board

Will we exceed February's total of 657 recipes pinned?   We set the bar pretty high in February, this will be tough to beat.

Wow! Just, wow! And, like I said before, lots of loved ones reaped the benefits of that frenzy (= I loved Paula's faceless tea party, and the fact that Doc was inspired to have Faceless Fridays!

Thanks for stopping in Marie. I go in fits and starts with the faceless recipes. Although there are a lot of good recipes on this site, it is nice to move away from it from time to time and make other recipes that sound good.

Gammaray! Wasn't Paula's idea terrific? My 'eaters' are wondering when the next frenzy might happen. I wish they were as willing to do the dishes as they are to eat!

Hi Penny, I just love the Faceless Frenzy project. It's such a wonderful way to highlight new or forgotten recipes. I wish I could participate, but right now I am unable. Maybe in the future. In the meantime, I am enjoying very much getting to know these faceless wonders a bit better by the reviews and beautifully taken photos. Good job well done by all.

That is impressive! I agree with Lissa. I love the fact that so many people participated and it was a great team effort with so many getting into the fray, making the experience that much richer. Congratulations Baking Nana for putting together such a successful event. It was mesmerizing watching all the recipes being completed and watching the Pinterest page grow. I’m so glad I was able to participate. Thanks Baking Nana!

That is really great. I had fun even though it was a bad weekend I still found recipes to make. I went through my faceless folder yesterday and had to delete so many of them since they now have a picture... I can't wait for the next one.

I am so behind the 8 ball on this one. Darn. I'll try to catch up. Does faceless mean cook from a recipe that doesn't have a picture, then take a picture of it after you made it? Does it have to be from the AR site? Sorry. I know it's like someone coming in after you've explained something in great detail.

Hi Cookin'Cyn - Yes, there are a ton of recipes that need a picture and new ones added every week. The goal is to make the recipe, photo it, post the pic to the recipe and to the pinterest board. Reviews are nice to but trying to review while cooking, cleaning and taking pictures is tough so I tend to go back later and catch up on the reviews.

I had a foodie friend visiting that weekend, she said "yes, let's do it," and we had a great time in the kitchen catching up and cooking. We started cooking at 6:00 AM on Saturday. Fun, fun time.

Wow, great numbers! It was a blast for me. I would tell DH the number of pins every few hours. By dinnertime he was asking me what the number was and what I was making next! I created a menu for the faceless, need to update that menu and start looking at adding more for the next event. Thanks again BN!

My favorite things to cook
I go through phases, Asian for a while then Italian then on to something else. I love experimenting with new flavors and different spices. Some times my husband will ask if we will ever have "ordinary" food again. Once in a while I have to toss him a burger just to keep quite! Actually, he is a good sport and my favorite taste tester.
My favorite family cooking traditions
In our family if it is your birthday you get to choose the menu. We have had some really interesting meals. In March we have 5 birthdays so we do one big party - what a crazy menu that is! Christmas dinner is very traditional. Sausage rolls, Prime Rib, Yorkshire Pudding, gravy, Green beans with bacon, Mashed Potatoes (the really fattening kind) and trifle for dessert. If I were to dare to omit any of those items I would be lynched.
My cooking triumphs
Mastering really great bread is probably my biggest triumph. I am always so pleased when I create a perfect Asian dish.
My cooking tragedies
There have been a few but none so horrible that I can't laugh about them now.
