About this Cook
We met in college. (Beth was my RA.) We knew each other for a few years before we started dating and were married 4/11/2009. Luke's Mom's attitude was 'if you want to eat, you'll have to learn how to cook it.' Therefore, he is the more experienced cook, while Beth is quickly learning.
My favorite things to cook
Luke loves grilling. If he could, he would grill daily. His trademark is charcoal/hickory/applewood smoke. Beth loves all things southern. Her trademark green beans, baked beans and biscuits are FAN-TAS-TIC.
My cooking tragedies
Once, Beth burned rice. I don't know how, but she did. Once, Luke made icing instead of frosting and ruined a perfectly good cake. I don't know how he got the two confused, but he did.

Wild Goose Breasts with Orange Glaze
this was my first try at cooking goose. and if i were to make it again, i would cook it in a dish with a lid. Keep the moisture in! and the 30 minutes at 350 would be 30 minutes on 400... because it takes more than 350 degrees. my goose (steak) tasted really good with the glaze though. my wife was game for the goose until it was cooked. then she chickened out. pun intended.

One Dish Chicken and Rice Bake
My wife asked me what I wanted to eat one day when I was working late. "How about the chicken and rice bake?" I said. A 30 minute driver later I was pulling in whilst my wife was pulling dinner out of the oven. She said it was unbelievably easy to put together and is now on our list of quick fix/in a pinch dinners.
