Jif® Peanut Butter Blossoms

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2012
i made these for valentines day and used hershey's heart shaped chocolates instead of kisses. i doubled the recipe, and like a dummy, added wrong and didn't quite add enough flour. no wonder they spread so much while baking. they still tasted delicious, and everyone at our family gathering loved them. will definitely use this recipe again.

Apple Betty

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2009
im giving a 3 because it must have been my fault somehow, but when i was cutting the powder ingredients with the butter, it never got to a crumb like state, it was all powdery, then before i knew it it was a big blob of paste. i used it anyways thinking it would melt in the oven and still be good but it wasnt. it had good flavor but was hard to eat.

Brownies with Peanut Butter Fudge Frosting

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2009
i made these exactly as directed, and they were good, but it was just too much. you could hardly taste the brownie over the flavor of the frosting. next time i think ill cut the frosting recipe in half and try it.

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2009
this was really yummy. i gave it a 4 only because i changed it some. some things i did differently, cooked chicken breasts with bone and skin in crock pot until done(skipped the flouring and browning step). remove the bone and skin, wrap the large pieces of chicken(or several small pieces) with swiss, then ham. melt the butter in the skillet, add a bullion cube and i used the broth from the crockpot instead of wine, simmer for a minute, then add the cornstarch/cream and whisk until it thickens. i poured some sauce in a baking dish to cover the bottom, put the chicken/ham pieces in, then poured the rest of the sauce over the top. sprinkled a little parmesean on top, baked at 350 (covered)for 10 minutes until bubbling. and voila! was super delicious! picky boyfriend even loved it!
