Ruth's Grandma's Pie Crust

This is the PERFECT recipe for pie crust. I used it for chicken pot pie last knight and it was the best pie ever! I tried many recipes por crust pie trough the years and this is THE recipe. This crust is flaky and when you put it in your mouth it melts. The flavour is buttery yummy. I had 1/2 cup of shortening so I used butter for the rest and it was great. The best part is that it looks so preatty once baked. Other people said that the dough comes out to wet and it is hard to handle. Where I live is very dry so I usually when I make doughs I do not use all the flour that calls for , but if you live in a humid area you probably should use a little bit less of the liquid that calls for if it is to sticky, so just add little by little the liquid ensted of all at once. Be shure to put a big pice of wax paper on the counter top so you can roll the dough much more easy, and do not be afraid to use flour under your dough when you are rolling so it do not stick to the paper. Spicy Tomato Jam

I had too many tomatoes this year so I decided to use them in this recipe, it turned out to be a nice flavour spicy tomato jam. The only thing is that I dobled the recipe and reduced the mix until it had a jam consistency and it didn't fill 7 pints, so... don't spect much from 3lbs of tomatoes.

Thai Chicken Cabbage Soup

This is such a great recipe. It is so yummy. It is filling. The soup by itself is really good with out the tai chilli sauce but it is MUCH better with the tai chilli sauce. The only thing I changed is that I cooked the noodles separate and then I put them in the pot of soup, this way the noodles don't absorb all the broth.

Sweet Zucchini Relish

Thankyou soooooo much for this recipe! I love it. I didn't put 6 cups of sugar, 2 cups is much better for teste. The other thing that I did diferent is the vinegar, I made it with apple vinegar so it is not so strong the flavour. Thanks again.

Special Rhubarb Cake

This is a great recipe! I put 4 cups of rubarb , next time I think I am going to put 5 cups because my husband LOVES rubarb. The other thing that I changed is the omount of the evaporated milk; I put a can of 12oz because it was to sweet in the original recipe. Thanks so much for this recipe.

Pull-Apart Easter Blossom Bread

When I looked at this bread, I was expecting to eat a pastry but when I ate it, it was more like a dinner roll with the drizle of sugar and jam. I would use the dough recipe again because it is very tasty for a roll. The shape is wonderfull! it came out just like in the picture or even better!!! I am going to use this shape again for sure. Thank you so much for this beautiful presentation.

Hot and Sour Chicken and Cabbage Soup

This is a great recipe.I didn't put parsley and I made it with out the chicken because I used it as a side dish. Try really hard to find lemon grass, to me is very important , and the fish sauce too. I added some dried mushrooms. Thanks for sharing the recipe.

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

This is soooooooooo good! The only thing I changed is the quantity of soy sauce, I put half of the amount that calls for. I cooked some sticky rice that you can buy at asian super markets, it is actually called sweet rice. Thanks for this recipe.

Creamy Chicken Rice Soup

This is a great recipe, thanks so much. The changes that I made were 1 I fried the onions, celery and add garlic. 2 I cooked the rice in the broth. 3 I used much more milk than what it calls for.
