Homemade Wonton Soup

Reviewed: May 18, 2010
Wonderful soup! I will hold on to this recipe forever. I did omit the shrimp and snow peas and added more mushrooms. This soup honestly beat out any soup I have bought over the years. I will be making my wonton soup from now on.

Super Easy Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2010
I followed the recipe and these were way to sweet for sloppy joes. I am sure this can be fixed buy ommitting the brown sugar or reducing it. But I will not be trying this one again.

Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2010
I followed the recipe but added some shredded cheese and frenchs fried onions. I think this would have tasted better with sauted vegetables instead of canned.

Hawaiian Banana Nut Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2009
Great banana bread, did not change a thing to recipe. Recipe makes two loafs so wrapped one tight in Saran wrap, foil and a zip lock and stuck it in the freezer, should keep for two months. The other one should be good in the fridge for up to a week wrapped the same. My Mom gave me this advice :)

Kathy's Delicious Whole Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2009
Did not follow this recipe since I worked with what I had in the kitchen. I used Kens steak house Tomato vinaigrette dressing instead of balsamic vinegar and I used sesame seeds instead of sesame oil. Turned out ok, liked the flavor, but removing the skin from a whole chicken is not some thing I will be doing again. I usually use boneless and skinless chicken breasts and when I do use a whole chicken it is with skin on.

Spinach Lasagna III

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2009
Made this with out the spinach since I did not have fresh spinach on hand. My husband loves ricotta in his lasagna and I am not a fan. This lasagna was the first I have liked with Ricotta. The only extra I added was Johnny's Garlic Spread & Seasoning (seasoning bought at Costco good for many recipes) to the Ricotta mixture. And I used about half of what was called for in Ricotta since I did not have 3 cups on hand.

Apres Ski French Toast

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2009
Great flavor! Used regular sliced white bread. I think I will use a thicker sliced white bread or an egg bread next time.
