The Best Lemon Bars

This recipe is a great! The crust felt a little bland, so I added some ground graham crackers (3 tablespoons ish) and reduced the flour a tad. I concur with the other reviewers in that an extra juiced lemon goes a long way. Adding lemon zest gives it a nice kick too.

Quinoa Black Bean Burgers

This was a good veggie burger. It had a good consistency and taste. The only thing I did differently was leave out the minced onions. It felt a little redundant since I was using onions as a topping.

Apple Crisp with Oat Topping

Easy to make and delicious at the same time. I took another reviewer's suggestion to use a variety of apples (I went ahead and used 6 different kinds). The result was amazing! I swear it tasted like I used the 'perfect' apple. Left it in the over for longer than the recipe called for. You can smell it when it's about done: first the cinnamon smell comes out of the over, then it is followed by the apples. I left it in for 5-10 minutes after that for a more crispy crust. Everyone should try this!

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Made it. It was great. Just added the dry ingredients to the wet instead of putting the wet into the dry. Sifted them right in. Always seems to work better that way with most pancake batters.

Banana Cream Frosting

It's got a nice mild banana flavor. Not authentic banana since most of its flavor comes from the pudding mix, but it's nice nonetheless. Reducing the milk by half it still wasn't quite as thick as most people would want. Combine the liquid ingredients (milk/rum) last and add as much as you need to get the consistency you need.
