Sour Cream Apple Pie Deluxe

I first ate thios pie at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Restaurant in New York City about twelve years ago. Theirs had a crumb crust with lots of walnuts, and it was an outstanding pie! This one will be, too if you use 3 cups of Granny Snith finely sliced apples, 1 cup of sugar and walnuts in the topping.

Orange White Chocolate Chip Beltane Cookies

I add another table spoon of orange zest, use 1/2 cup of Xylitol for the sugar with 1/4 tsp powdered stevia and it lowers the glycemic index, plus the calories! I like my cookies with nuts, so I add 1/2 cup chopped, toasted pecans and these are wonderful.

Missy's Candied Walnut Gorgonzola Salad

If you add a little Old Bay or Tony Sacchare's Cajun seasoning to the sugar mix, it adds a little bite to the nuts and is delicious. Thanks.

Whole Wheat Blueberry Beet Muffins

I used coconut oil instead of canola, and 1/2 cup of Xylitol and 1/4 tsp stevia powder for the sugar. Substituted 1 1/2 cups of oat bran for the oats and mixed it with the applesauce to absorb some of the moisture. Added 1 tsp vanilla and 1 cup chopped walnuts and these came out wonderful and look great. Beets are one of the most healthful vegetables because of their high mineral content--even better than carrots. THANK YOU for this recipe!!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

You left out 1 cup dry red wine. It makes all the difference in the world. To turn leftovers into Beef Stroganoff, just cut up roast to bite size, add some sliced mushrooms and simmer about five minutes, then stir in 1 cup of sour cream. Voila--Beef Stroganoff. Serve over rice or noodles.

Polish Sausage Kraut Skillet

I made this today wondering how it would turn out. GREAT! It is one of the most delicious dishes i've ever eaten. HOWEVER, next time I will make it in a dutch oven, as the skillet is just not deep enough and it makes a mess of the stove while cooking. I had a surprise guest for lunch and she loved it, too. The only thing i would add might be some chopped parsley scattered over it as garnish. THANK YOU!
