Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2006
These cookies were good, but not great. They were a bit too sweet for my taste; but I took them to work and everyone loved them.

Whipped Cream Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2006
This frosting is GREAT!!! I used it to frost cupcakes and it piped really well. The ONLY problem I have is that if I leave the cupcakes out it gets very soft, but not to the point of melting. Next time I will add some powdered gelatin to my cream before whipping it. I will keep this recipe for ever!

Cream Cheese Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2006
This cookie tasted yummie! BUT... the dough was very hard to work with, even though I had chilled it for about 24 hrs. I could not roll it out, no matter what. So I rolled it into a log, popped it in the freezer and cut the cookies out once it was hard enough. Will definitely make again though!

Chocolate Frosting I

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2007
This frosting was good, not great. Definitely very easy and quick, good when you need something fast. It tasted a bit too "confectionary" for my liking. But it did the job. I used only 2 1/2 Cups Powdered Sugar and that was definitely enough; I also added 2 tbl spoons of milk after mixing in the sugar. I might make again if I need something quick, but otherwise i'll stick to my Buttercream Frosting.

One Bowl Chocolate Cake III

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2007
This was the easiest cake I have ever made! Even easier than a boxed cake!!! With recipes out there like this, NOBODY should ever make a boxed cake again. I only wanted to make a small cake, so I cut the recipe in half with no problems. The batter was made and in the oven within 10 minutes. I used "Chocolate Frosting I" also from this website and that was easy too. A+ recipe!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2007
These cookies are great, very easy to make. DOn't bake them any longer than 12 mins though, or they won't be soft. Very tasty!

Chocolate Ganache

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2007
I made this as a topping for a chocolate cupcake. After letting it cool for a about 30mins, I dipped. After the ganache cooled off, it gave the cupcake a lovely chocolatey shine. Very nice!

Real Italian Calzones

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2007
These were great! Sooo easy and extremely yummy! I use many different fillings when making them; whatever I have in my fridge at the time. I never leave out the ricotta though. And sometimes I substitute mozzarella cheese for the cheddar. My dough and filling makes 4 large calzones.

Basic Crepes

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2007
I used this recipe to make a crepe cake (I will post a picture soon). Very easy. I just put everything in my blender (liquids first) and blended it up. I left it in the fridge for about 1 hour before using, to let the bubbles settle. I doubled the recipe and it made about 24 small crepes. Will definitely make again!

Pastry Cream

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2007
Very easy pastry cream! I have tried many different ones and this is definitely the easiest one, without sacrificing flavor. I divided the recipe by 3 because I was mixing it with whipped cream for a crepe cake; and it worked out just fine.

Chocolate Cakes with Liquid Centers

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2007
This was amazing! I doubled the recipe because I knew 4 would not be enough for my family. Instead of using 2 egg yolks per batch, I just used one; next time I might even try eliminating the egg yolks altogether and just use 2 whole eggs. Very easy and very delicious! I made them as a request from my mom and she loved it!

Saltine Toffee Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2007
YUM!!!!! These were sooo easy and they tasted AMAZING! I had a toffee cookie from a gift basket and I HAD to try to recreate it... I only had graham crackers, white sugar and walnuts, so I substituted those for the saltines, brown sugar and pecans. It worked out fine; I actually think the graham crackers worked better than the saltines would have. Next time I will try making these without the chocolate because the toffee itself is yum on it's own!
