About this Cook
I live in a very close-knit community in the Maritimes surrounded by great cooks. I've been learning for ages but I've only started taking cooking seriously the past few years. Befoe it was just something that had to be done, now I love doing it!
My favorite things to cook
Anything that puts a smile on my friends' and family's face!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Each year just before Christmas my mother and I get together and make a whole bunch of different appetizers that can go in the freezer and pulled out when company comes over the holidays. It truly is my favorite day of the year.
My cooking triumphs
Hahah....I haven't poisoned anyone.....yet.
My cooking tragedies
Lots - my biggest tragedy is that no matter how hard I try or how often, I CAN'T bake. I'm awful at it!

Serbian Pork and Beef Casserole
Thank you for posting this! I made it for my family of 5 and all loved it. Cooked it exactly as listed here - oh, sorry, a little lie there - I chopped up 2 pork chops instead of the meat from the hocks.

Beef Stew IV
I liked this recipe. I added beef stock and did find the Worchestershire a bit strong at first (I'd definitely reduce the quantity then next time) but over all, I totally enjoyed this.

Easy Meatloaf
This was such an easy recipe! I sauteed the onion with garlic first, as someone suggested. I put about a tablespoon of steak sauce in with the meat as well. I also reduced the ketchup for the topping and added steak sauce. But overall it was fantastic! Oh, and as someone else suggested I served it with Paula Deen's cottage potatoes, OMG....fantastic!
