Sun-dried Tomatoes I

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2011
These are GREAT! I dried them for about 36 hours in the dehydrator and then pack them in olive oil and chopped garlic cloves- very flavorful!

Grilled Yellow Squash

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2012
This is a great recipe, but to make it even easier, I just cut the summer squash in half the long way, and grill it like this.

Meat-Lover's Slow Cooker Spaghetti Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2011
This is super easy and SO good- I did add 2 pounds of hamburger and 1 pound of mild sausage to which I added italian seasoning and garlic when it was cooking- This is SO much better than Prego or Ragu and I hope to make enough after we pick our tomatoes in the fall to make, cook and then can without the meat. We'll just add meat when we open up our cans and cook it with meat then. SUPER recipe!!

Pear Honey

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2009
This recipe is extremely sweet- almost too sweet. (And I love sweet!) It does not taste like honey at all other than the intense sweetness. The pear flavor is very good in it though. I added a box of fruit pectin to make it thicker like jam. Maybe I should have left it out, however. Also, I doubled the recipe and it make 9 pints w/ a little exra. This was a little labor intensive for me for the amount it made.

Mexican Rice II

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2014
This mexican rice is authentic! I use olive oil instead of vegetable oil, add poblano peppers- chopped- to the rice when it's cooking, and add a 1/2 tsp or so of chili powder, and this is awesome! I also just use a whole 8 oz. can of tomato sauce, use chicken boillioun instead of chicken broth and cook it a few minutes more- it is SO good!

Rich Chocolate Truffle Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2011
Wow, was this good! Next time I might even add 1 1/2 bags of chocolate chips to the 3/4 cup of whipping cream, then add 3/4 cup of the whipped cream- This was so good and fast! This is now going to be my 'go to' chocolate pie!

Wow- all the money you can save by making your own dressing- AND it's as good if not better than the bottled kind! I just added a few drops of worceshrshire sauce- it's great!
