About this Cook
Busy mom of two teenagers. I love to cook and try new recipes. I'm a 5th grade teacher and use cooking to relieve stress!
My favorite things to cook
I love trying new healthy recipes! I enjoy using my crockpot on cold days! I love to entertain and cook for a crowd. I don't get the chance often, but when I do, I put out quite a spread!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Watching my mom make spaghetti sauce on Sunday mornings as a kid got me interested in cooking.
My cooking triumphs
Making a chocolate trifle for Christmas Eve dessert and having none left! This year I have made New Year's Day dinner. Which was fine, I could have done better, but this week I'm tackling Easter!
My cooking tragedies
I tried a roast pork in college and added WAY too much rosemary. The apartment smelled bad for a week!
Recipe Reviews 9 reviews
I love these cookies. I look through every recipe and often question 5 star ratings. BUT this is one 5 star that deserves a plus! It's easy, buttery and good. Perfect for the holidays. Since you can adjust the topping/filling, you can personalize then cookies to your taste. Will make again and again. Amazingly easy.

Grandma's Green Bean Casserole
Don't expect the traditional casserole here. It's got tang! Every holiday I'm asked to make this and it all goes. No more cream of mushroom casserole for us. This is it.

Chocolate Trifle
This turned out looking as good as the picture. I did follow some other suggestions like making my own whipped cream so it wasn't as sweet. It is very sweet and best served to a large group of people since small servings are best. I was very impressed and loved the different options it opened up. I did layer and top the trifle with crushed chocolate toffee pieces as well. It tasted as good 2 days later. LOVED IT!!!!!
