Angie's Perfect Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2009
I had my son make these for Thanksgiving dinner. Everyoner loved the yeasty flavor and soft texture. Be careful not to make them too big!

Real Hummus

I used extra garlic and lemon juice! Also sprinkled with some fresh parsley before serving. Very good for dipping fresh raw veggies too.

Caribbean Sweet Potato Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2004
This salad was cool and delicious. The only problem was that I made it in the morning for dinner that evening and couldn't get out of taste testing mode. Almost didn't have enough for dinner! I did use extra lime juice, cut fresh corn off the cob (super easy and it doesn't get mushy like canned), and used a seedless cucumber. Don't let the unusual ingredients scare you away. They really make the salad.

Exquisite Pizza Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2003
This was excellent! I will no longer be buying pre-made pizza sauce. The whole family liked this recipe. I doubled the recipe and probably had enough for five 12-inch pizza's!

Applesauce Bread I

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2002
Very easy to make and very moist. Not a lot of flavor. I may try it using the ideas of adding craisins and nuts, or nutmeg and ginger. The recipe seemed to be lacking something (perhaps the raisins-I left them out!)

Ham and Fresh Basil Pinwheels

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2002
These tasted great. I also cut up the sun-dried tomatoes and the basil and used a bit more cream cheese. Everyone thought they were delicious.

Bacon Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2002
This dish tasted great. It was not as thin as I expected. Next time I will add about 1/2 cup of white wine and dilute the half and half with milk. My family was very pleased with this comfort food.

Banana Crumb Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2001
Yum! I tried the recipe using the entire 1/2 teaspoon salt. They were moist and wonderful. The previous review reminds me of a practical joke we played on the guys next door in college. (The old salt in the sugar bowl trick.)

Bierock Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 21, 2001
When I first saw this recipe, it sounded boring and bland. After reading the reviews, I decided to try it anyway. I'm glad I did. It was extremely easy and very tasty. My husband and 13yo son loved it, but my 11yo daughter(who doesn't really care for pickled things)made herself a pb&j sandwich and was just as happy. I will definitely make it again.

Chicken Salad Wraps

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2001
Very tasty. I made this for a potluck PTA meeting and had lots of compliments. I was afraid the wraps might unwrap a little, but they held together well. I added about six slices of chopped, cooked bacon. I'm not a big fan of canned chicken so I may try using a deli chicken next time.
