Breaded Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2014
This is an excellent recipe. To get better coverage of the bread crumb mixture, I tossed the sprouts in the melted butter and then into a bag filled with the crumb mix. Love this recipe!

Buffalo Wontons

Reviewed: May 20, 2012
As my 14 year old picky daughter said "These are amazing!" I have made these twice and they were gobbled up each time. I did not bother chilling the sauce. I added the cream cheese to the sauce and roughly blended together. Then I added chicken and let it sit for about 10 minutes. This worked perfect. Make sure you only use a tsp of filling as noted otherwise it comes out the sides. I also just used water to seal wontons. Thank you so much for this recipe! I was thinking of a lot of other fillers that would go well with the wontons!

Jersey Fresh Tomato Soup

I used canned tomatoes because they are not in season now and this soup was delicious. I can't wait to try with fresh tomatoes!

I first tasted these at my cousins wedding a few years ago and fell in love with them. This is the exact recipe I use and it is perfect as is. Make sure you shake the mixture up at least 30 seconds to ensure that it is chilled.

Very good. I might try some dill next time just to see if it adds to it.

Candied Kielbasa

These were so easy and taste really good. Even my kids liked them! Do not leave out the horseradish, that is what makes this dish. The sauce is just fine as directed.

Brown Sugar Smokies

Reviewed: May 10, 2011
These are very good. I just rolled the bacon around and then rolled them in the sugar. You don't need toothpicks. Keep an eye on them and do not overcook.

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2011
Awesome! I have never made a sauce completely from scratch that I liked so I have always doctored up bottled sauce. Not anymore! I am salivating just thinking about this recipe. I love not having to brown meatballs first. Cooking the meatballs in the sauce really does add to the flavor. I made this as written the first time but the second time I put sauce in blender before the last additions to make the sauce smoother. Excellent both ways!

Best Spanish Rice

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2010
Great simple recipe! I did have to add a touch more liquid, but that is to be expected when cooking rice. I took this to an "Un-Thanksgiving" Potluck topped with some shredded cheddar cheese. I did not bring any home!

Mom's Paprika Chicken with Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2010
Even though I gave this only 4 I really liked it. Some of the chicken was a little dry. I will definitely make again because it is so simple and different from other chicken recipes. I will probably stir it more and add a little chicken broth. Picky kids liked it too!

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2010
This recipe was easy and great! Took it to a party and it was the first thing gone. I did not have canned jalapenos so just used some of the pickled jalapenos. I served with crackers which I prefered but some dipped tortilla chip scoops and liked that also. Will definitely make again!
