Broccoli Chicken Casserole I

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2002
This is a terrific casserole! To address the dryness problem: Use the stuffing mix that comes in a bag, not a box. Crumble well before adding to top of casserole. Dot with butter or margarine before baking. This gives the topping a nice crunch! I also use margarine to lightly grease the casserole dish before layering. Squeeze- bottle margarine is great for this recipe!

In a word- YUMMY!! The ingredients seemed rather strange, but the end result is really tender & flavorful. Thanks, Heather, for a new family favorite!

Pat's Mushroom Saute

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2001
These mushrooms are delicious- but 30 minutes is WAY too long to cook them. Make a lot- they go fast!!

Cream Cheese Mints

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2001
What a mess! I've been cooking for years, but all I got was a soggy mess. No amount of sugar would make these pliable! I guess the old fashioned way is better after all-

Candy Coated Pecans

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2001
These are very tasty- but make sure you bake them in a single layer- otherwise they clump together & don't brown well.

Mine didn't set- I chilled it overnight, but it still turned out very, very runny. Any hints?

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2001
These brownies were good, but the frosting was really stiff, even with extra butter. I microwaved it for 60 seconds to get it to spreading consistancy. All in all, just average.

Frogmoor Stew

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2001
This has been a favorite for years!! We even add crablegs when the budget allows! I've found that using lite keilbasa cuts down on the grease and makes peeling the shrimp easier. You can't go wrong with this one!!

Connie's Zucchini "Crab" Cakes

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2001
These are delicious- but please don't try to pass them off as crab cakes! They are great tasting zucchini cakes. I doubled the Old Bay, and dredged them in Parmesan cheese. We loved them, but whoever met a green crab??

This is just what the doctor ordered!! Comfort food has never been easier or more satisfying. I added a shake of garlic powder, other than that, no changes necessary! Thanks, Kathy- this is a keeper!!

Easy Teriyaki Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2001
These were OK, but even with low sodium soy sauce they were very salty. I used the George Foreman grill, and the chops did turn out very juicy. Probably won't make them again, though.

No Time to Cook Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2001
This is a keeper at our house! Throw it in the Crockpot in the morning, & come home to a great dinner! I added a few dashes of Worchestershire when mixing the soups- Thanks for a great recipe, Sue Ann!! P.S.- One day later- another great meal, with pasta! My advice- make double the sauce, and use the remainder the next night. Simply cook egg noodles 'till a la dente, drain, & add to remaining gravy in slow cooker. Season to taste, and, Voila!! Another great meal, for pennies!

This is simply the BEST salmon we've ever tasted!! I marinaded ours for 24 hours, then cooked it on a George Foreman indoor grill. Outstanding- the whole family was fighting for scraps. Easy, heart-healthy, and delicious- thank you, Tina!!

A really tasty recipe! For a less salty flavor, use Kikkoman's Lite Teriyaki. It's considerably less salty. Thanks for a winner!
