I went on low-carb "Atkins-style" diet once, for 2 weeks. Lost 14 lbs. No rice, potatoes, bread, tortillas, chips, or sugar, only 1/6th piece of fruit or 4raspberries daily. Ate eggs, veggies (no onions or carrots)chicken, fish, lamb chop (what I like) with veggies. Real cheese or sour cream in omelette. Morning, noon, night. Tuna salad with mayo & lemon juice; sardines, herring, turkey roll-ups, bacon & eggs, half & half in coffee, plain green tea, etc. I happen to like grated zuchinni sauteed in olive oil w/2 fried eggs for breakfast, chicken & vegetables, fish & vegetables, lamb & vegetables, real cheeses. It's not rocket science. Just cut out the . Desserts were chia seeds soaked in coconut milk w/stevia & a few chopped almonds, or ricotta cheese mixed with vanilla & some stevia. I'm not a sweet-freak anyway-love bakers chocolate! Stayed thin for 2 years.

My crock pot chicken cacciatore and Sweet and Savory slaw should be nutritious, I got it from diabetes.org. BTW how do I add nutrition info to the recipes?
