Crispy Fish

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2009
This recipe is fantastic! I made the recipe exactly as called for except for using regular crisco instead of butter crisco. This is so much better than any fried fish I have ever had! I will this recipe over and over! Thanks so much for sharing.

Simple Whole Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2010
This was just crazy good! I was shocked, mostly because of the unexpected ingredients..cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg..etc. After reading other reviews I decided to double the spices and am glad I did. I think it would not have been enough flavor otherwise. I also decided not tolet it sit in the refrigerator overnight. I did make a change in decided to cook it in a Reynolds cooking bag and added potatoes and carrots. I baked/cooked it a little slower at 350 degrees. It took a little longer, but was well worth the wait. It got rave reviews from the family. Thanks so much for sharing this! Everyone should try it.

Slow Cooker Cranberry Pork

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2010
This was delightful! I have to admit I could never make a pork roast that I was completely happy with, until this came along. I made this today when I was having a guest for dinner and I received rave reviews. It was so moist and delicious. The only change I made was to take someone elses suggestion and add some corn starch to thicken the sauce up. We are looking forward to the leftovers tonight. Thanks, I will be using this recipe again!

Harvey Ham Sandwiches

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2010
We really liked this recipe! It was delicious! Easy to make, satisfying. We will definately be eating this again! We made this exactly per recipe--although we ended up starting with a 10 pound bone in ham by Smithfield. Cooked on low on stove top for approximately 7 hours. It was falling off the bone by then. Cooled and shredded it. Followed the next day by using the crockpot on low for 5 hours. Superb. We were expecting it to be really sweet, but really wasn't --it turned out perfect. Thanks for sharing this! The only change we will make next time is tryingit with pickles on it.

Julia's Easy Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2011
I followed this recipe exactly and while it cooked it smelled so good and we were anxious to try it. I cooked it exactly like called for. However, we were so very disappointed. My husband and I could not even finish eating it--it was bland and we tried to doctor it up with a little pepper and some salt to no avail. My father who does not have a sense of taste anymore liked it because of the texture. I can not figure out what went so wrong after reading other reviews this seems to be the exception.

Banana Crumb Muffins

These were super delicious! They were very quick and easy to make. Impressive with the topping. Perfect! I made only 1 adjustment and that was to add 1 tsp cinnamon to the dry mix.

Easy Peach Cobbler II

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2011
Yummy! This was so simple and quick. I followed others advice and I cut the sugar to 1 cup. I also added 1 tsp vanilla and 3/4 tsp cinnamon as others recommended. It came out perfectly and tasted awesome! Because I am currently without a kitchen during a remodel I made this in my BeVille toaster convection oven and cut the time to 30 minutes. Perfection. Thanks for sharing this!

Easy Pork Roast

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2011
This recipe is different than any other pork roast recipe I have tried before. The pork came out so tender and the beans and sauce were good. You can taste a bit of the beer flavor. The only change I made was using 5 shallots rather than the ten. I will try the 10 next time but shallots flavor is so mild I do not think the 5 more will make that big a difference. We are having the leftovers tonight and I am looking forward to the beans.

Alison's Slow Cooker Vegetable Beef Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2011
This is surprisingly good! I made this exactly as directed with the only exception being I cut the salt back to 1 tsp. It was impressive. The flavor was great with just enough spicy bite to it to impress my husband. This is a keeper. Next time I may increase the stew meat a bit to keep my picky husbands interest.

Chicken and Biscuit Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2011
While I followed this recipe to the letter I would classify it as good, but not anything I would want to make again and my family agreed. The flavor was there and the presentation was there-it just was not anything special. It reminded us of a pot pie.

Easy Honey Mustard Mozzarella Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2012
This recipe was fantastic! My husband must have told me 3 times during the meal that he loved this dish and directed me to keep it because he wanted it again. Like other reviewers I used the dijon mustard. I mixed the honey and mustard together and poured over chicken. Other than that change I made as directed and it was perfect. The cheese on top was browned perfectly and presented well. I would serve this to company.

Black Bean, Corn and Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2012
This was really quite good. My family loved it and everyone had two bowls. It was a bit spicy because I used the Pace salsa w/medium heat I think. My family always complains that there is never enough meat in Chili....so I added and extra pound of ground Turkey and also one can of Rotel diced tomatoes. This is a keeper....we will definately eat this again.

Pasta with the Works

I was looking for something that sounded good and went together fairly quickly for a weeknight meal. This was not it. Although it went together fairly quickly the taste was just not there. Maybe it was just the sauce(Prego).

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2012
This was Amazing! I was totally surprised that it was as good as it was. There is just two of us so we had leftovers and we ate it for several days just in sandwiches. It is an easy meal to throw together...but tasted like you slaved over it. Thanks for sharing.

Unbelievable Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2012
This was super good! I followed the recipe exactly. I marinated over-night. I opted to broil it in the oven verses the grill as our Wyoming winters do not always allow for outside grilling. It came out perfectly and delicious. Thanks for sharing.
