Stuffed Pattypan Squash

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2014
I love this recipe - it's one of my summer staples once the squash plants in the garden take off. I did notice that as written, the stuffing is very dry, so before stuffing the squash I add about a cup of chicken broth. Thanks for the great recipe!

WOW. Amazing! It's a good thing this recipe makes so much -- everyone had at least two helpings. It was pretty easy to make too! Thanks for a great recipe!

Restaurant-Style Zuppa Toscana

Tastes great! Well worth the effort and time to make. Next time I make it I think I'll try spinach instead of kale, and hot Italian sausage instead of regular, just to mix it up a little.

Wassail Punch I

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2009
Wow, this is good. Definitely worth the time it takes to make it -- and pretty simple, too. The recipe as it is makes just a tad over two gallons; it's so good, though, that we didn't have any problem finishing it off.

Buttermilk-Herb Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2009
Very yummy! I ran into some problems with the flour when making it, though -- 5 cups resulted in dough with the approximate consistency of cake batter, and it took almost two more cups to get it to a consistency I was comfortable with. I would also recommend cutting the amount of ranch dressing mix in half because I think that flavor is a bit overwhelming -- good, but a little strong. Thanks for the recipe!

Honey Wheat Bread II

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2009
Oh man, this is good. It's the first real bread I've ever made without using a bread machine; I just use my upright mixer to mix everything and knead the dough. Only one problem -- it never lasts for more than a couple of days, because everyone gobbles it right up!

Pumpkin Spice Bread

Unbelievably yummy! The description is very accurate -- it tastes like a pumpkin pie. I replaced the allspice with ginger and didn't notice any huge difference.

Restaurant Style Egg Drop Soup

Tastes fantastic. I tend to leave out the salt, and substitute green onions for the chives. It refrigerates nicely too.

So tasty! I've tried chicken in the filling, and they taste wonderful. They refrigerate well, and taste pretty good cold too!

Super simple. My mom is jealous: she can't get hers to turn out as well as this one did.

Sour Cream Apple Pie Deluxe

Excellent, and easy to make; a major hit with the family. My only addition was a pinch of cloves to the crumb topping for a little extra flavor.
