Chicken Pot Pie Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2011
This tastes exactly like a chicken pot pie. I made a huge batch of this in a crock pot and toasted 4 pie crusts and broke them up to sprinkle over the top instead of crackers and got rave reviews and gave the recipe away to multiple people. My husband said I totally had to make it at home some time. I made this for a bible study dinner. The pie crust really made it come together. I also made buttery rolls on the side. I twas a rainy night and we were all sleepy after :)

Great for kids. My mother in law made this for her kids growing up and they loved it. They called it egg in a nest.

Salmon Cakes II

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2010
Great, but I added some lemon and added a dash more worceteshire sauce and used more than double the hot sauce ( I used texas pete by the way). I used italian bread crumbs because it was all I had. It would also be good with crushed saltines. I served with a lemony tarter sauce. Fried to perfection, these were great!

Bavarian Style Meatballs

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2010
good, but needed probably a little less brown sugar and a little less cranberry sauce. It was a little too sweet for me. It was so rich I did'nt want to go back for seconds, but I think it could be better next time. I also added spicy brown mustard, hich helped and put in two packs of meatballs which was good because otherwise there would have been wayyyy too much sauce. Everyone else enjoyed these, though.

Cabbage Patch Stew

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2010
This stew only ended up being good after alot of doctoring, which made it awesome, but by itself it was too blan. It needs way more seasoning. I put in alot more cumin, added lawry's seasoning salt, salt and pepper, and for a little heat I added cayenne and red pepper flakes. My sister in law said " I could eat this every day". I did all the seasonings to taste and did not measure andy of them. I made this a second time and added chili powder, paprika and a bay leaf and 2 beef boullion cubes and used 1/4 cup of jacks special garden fresh gourmet salsa. I also added 3 cans of corn and 2 cans of green beans and a whole chopped tomato. Oh yeah and a little extra onion powder. It was AWESOME!

Mulled Cranberry Cider

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2010
Awesome!!!! The whole family loved this and ooo'd with every sip! I used tangerine zest but also juiced about 4 tangerines and put it in the mixture and used cran apple juice. I also used less honey. You could put cinnamon sticks in the serving cups as a garnish and it would be fun :)

Chili Sauce Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2010
I would give this a 1 star, but my husband thought it was absolutely awesome so I gave it 3 stars to be fair. I really did not like the flavor. I tasted it before we used it and I thought it might taste ok, but after we grilled the chicken, the more I ate the more I did'nt like it. Maybe it was the fact that we used heins chili sauce.

Pesto Cheesy Chicken Rolls

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2010
This would have been alot better if the chicken would have been marinaded first. I also added sundried tomatoes with the pesto and it added really good flavor. This was good over pasta
