I live in Illinois but am a Wisconsinite at heart...lived there for 24 of my 46 years of life. Love to bake, cook, read, garden, music, art, and love the Northwoods and camping in a cabin. Doesn't have to be a hotel but I just can't do the tent thing. Love looking at and finding new recipes. Married the mailman ;o) and have two boys. Bake for a living now and love every minute (except when I am so tired I can't stand up straight...literally!) Homemade pizza, kringle, scones, biscotti, pies, cakes, and most of all BREADS! At Christmas time my Mom tends to get a little anxious about all the company. So my sisters and I pour a little wine for Mom, a little wine for us and after a couple of glasses (and yes, I do me just a couple) we are all relaxed and giggling like school girls. The guys? Well they just roll their eyes and shake their heads. Great, flaky kringle. Creating new recipes and having them turn out! Yummy smelling breads in the house. Putting cookies in the oven when on the phone and forgetting to turn on the timer. :o( Thanks to God's blessings and God-given talent I haven't had too many tragedies. More like brain-dead mistakes!
