Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2010
Completely and utterly changed this recipe because I didn't want to make pie crust. Made stove top stuffing, lined the bottom of a pan with it, added the filling and sauce as directed, and covered it with the rest of the stove top. My biggest complaint was that the vegetables were less done than I would have liked. Otherwise, absolutely delicious. (And, if you avoid this recipe because you don't want to make pie crust, try stove top! Cooking times are similar.)

Curried Coconut Chicken

Wonderful. A very sweet, easy Curry. I added a bell pepper because I had it laying around. It'd be pretty hard to mess this one up!

Sukhothai Pad Thai

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2010
Really quite good, with the suggested modifications. I wish there were a recipe with the suggested modifications that I could make instead. This has become my primary Phad Thai recipe. It's a hit, even with people who don't normally like Phad Thai.

Old Fashioned Onion Rings

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2009
Very, very good! Prep is time-consuming, though I'd imagine having two people would speed it up significantly! I used italian bread crumbs. With them, you don't even need seasoning salt. Definitely some of the best onion rings I've ever had! (Also: One onion makes many more rings than I expected.)

Fried Rice Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2009
It was alright. Not great. I added some beef broth to the rice as it was cooking (I will, per advise, probably do more next time), and otherwise followed instructions. It is nice and easy to make, though. Good for what it is. Edit: I added some sliced ham, green onions, garlic, and ginger. It's now very very good, and I've changed my rating to reflect that.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2009
If you follow the directions, they'll turn out fabulously! I, like many others, didn't use a breadmaker. These are as good or (and in my opinion) better than the real thing. It's hard to eat just one!

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2009
Changed to five stars from four after I discovered the secret: Fry or caramelize your onions! It makes all the difference in the world. Otherwise, they tend to be rather crunchy and unappealing. After being fried and then put in with the mix, it's much better! This is now my favorite meatloaf!
