Grated Potato Dumplings

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2013
My mom used to make these using grated potatoes, onion, egg, dried bread cubed, parsley, salt and pepper and flour. I have tried several times to duplicate, but altho the taste was there, they fell apart in the boiling water. Why?? If anyone has an answer I would appreciate it.

French Onion Dip From Scratch

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2013
Great dip but it does take longer to carmalize the onions. I also used less Mayo and more sour cream and some yogart; this can be adjusted to your own taste. Also pleas someone tell me how create a new catagory under the "save receipes" Thank you

Pineapple Upside-Down Cake VII

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2013
This cake is so very good and easy to make. Made mine in a cake pan but be sure not to over load pan. Put rest of batter in separate oven safe bowl for an individual serving. BE SURE to add the pineapple juice into the cake mixture. I used just a little more butter (not less) and a little more brown sugar. Came out moist and tasty.

Quick and Easy Lemon Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2012
Between a pudding pie and a cream cheese pie. Very good. Be sure to cook pudding per pie instructions. Add more lemon juice and zest and about half of the cool whip added gives pie a lighter texture. A little labor intensive but well worth it

Peppermint Meringues

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2009
Very sweet, but that's what it's supposed to be. Add strawberry, anise, almond or almost any other flavor. Be sure to beat those whites until STIFF not just a little stiff. After you turn oven off leave unopened for at least 3 hours.

All-Day Apple Butter

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2009
Excellent with some easy changes. Put apples thru food processor before cooking. After apples are done -if too soupy drain thru collander. Then to get better consistancy put by batches into blender. A little more work but verrrr y worth it. Also, yes do add some allspice- makes a difference

Albondigas

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2009
Add rice to meatballs instead of bread crumbs. Add minced onions and cilantro to meatballs . Add 1/2 beef broth and 1/2 water. No milk. No Salsa just lg can of diced tomatoes. Celery sliced very thinly can be added. And cilantro is NOT an option it is necessary in both the meatballs and broth.
