Amish Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2011
I followed the recipe exactly and thought it was okay. My husband, 6 and 3 year old didn't like it.... Just picked out the bacon.

Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2011
Fantastic! Followed exactly but skipped the butter. I can't imagine going back to the conventional method. Also, stayed super hot throughout the entire thanksgiving meal.

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2010
I make this for every gathering and everyone asks me for the recipe. I never have time to pre-roast the garlic so I just mix it in with other ingredients. I also cook it for about 10 more min. than called for. So good!

A Good Easy Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2010
I sub. olive oil for butter. Once the cooking is complete, I add some chicken stock to the pan and that gets it really juicy. My five year old keeps asking for this!

Baby Carrots with Dill Butter

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2010
I made this with fresh sliced carrots. Since I was serving this dish just to toddlers, I omitted the dill because they are just pickey. Still, it was good and they ate them!

Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

Turned out fantastic for Thanksgiving. It was scary to try for a first attempt with a large crowd but I'm glad I did - and you should too!

Oven Fried Chicken II

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2010
I made this with chicken legs. They're good but a bit soggy because of the amount of oil. I now place a very small amount in the glass baking dish - just enough for a small coating; the second attempt (with less oil) turned out much better.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2010
I follow the recipe exactly and these are so good! The amount of dough on the cookie sheet should be about walnut size.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2010
My family loves this and I make it often. The only things I do differently is sub - 1/2 cup of oil + 1/2 cup applesauce and 1 cup white and 1 cup brown sugar for the 2 1/4 cups white sugar. It's fantastic and my two year old calls it "cake."

Chicken Noodle Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2009
I followed the recipe except for substituting the savory for Italian seasoning (like other reviewers) and white pepper for black. It was a little dry on top but the inside turned out good. Try and do the dishes as you finish with them - because there a lot of them. I liked it, my husband liked it; my 4 yr old & 16 month old didn't. I'll make it again for a large crowd.

Quick and Easy Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2009
Seriously, very good! The only thing I changed was adding a tablespoon of Vegeta Soup and Seasoning Mix in place of the basil and oregano. My 15 month old said "mmm" after every bite, my four year old picky eater ate the whole bowl, and my husband had seconds. A big hit in this house! Thanks!
