Passover Apple Cake

This was the best passover dessert we ever had. The first time I can say we finished it all. Definately put the brown sugar on top. Really adds something to a very good cake.

Maple-Vanilla Syrup

I love this syrup. I added a tablespoon of bourbon and it really was a nice touch. Now I don't have to buy syrup for pancakes or french toast.

Garden Fresh Tomato Soup

Just made this and it is so good. I don't have a food mill, so I pureed everything but the cloves in my blender in 2 batches. I didn't need the sugar because my tomatoes were sweeter, but will keep in mind for the next time I make this.

Tiramisu II

I had never made Tiramisu before. This was so easy to make and is incredibly delicious. My husband's birthday is this week and he has asked me to make 2. This is definately my favorite recipe to make and eat.

Caramel Macchiato Ice Cream

I have this ice cream freezing in my ice cream maker right now. I have made it about 15 times now and it is so good. I figured since it was a frozen version of a caramel macchiato, I would use that famous coffee shop's instant coffee, Via. I use their Italian roast, because I like a little more bite in my coffee to blend with the sweetness of the caramel. If you want it to taste closer to the shop's version, use the French roast. The regular or decaf work just as nicely. I keep two bowls freezing at all times. This is the first one I make, my go to ice cream now. Sometimes I make a double batch of caramel macchiato ice cream and sometimes I make another flavor. We love this!
