Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2010
I laughed to that this would be added, but like others here is my variation...On your bread of choice add about an 1/8 the butter you normally would use. In the skillet heat a garlic infused olive oil. Yum! I use one slice of cheddar and one slice swiss, but my husband like pepper-jack and cheddar. I made it for my sister over thanksgiving and when the family got back together for x-mas she said she couldn't wait for me to make her one, which I then did immediately!

Ultimate 7-Layer Dip

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2010
I always make this, but put the refried beans, then mix the taco seasoning with the sour cream, then salsa, lettuce, tomatoes, green and reg onions, chilis, olives, and cheese. I have also thrown in black beans with the refried beans. YUM. I have even added some rice super yum! Always flys off the table!

Warm Sweet Onion Spread

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2010
I actually first had this at a friends' house. Loved it, and immediately asked for the recipe...which I forgot. I found this, and PERFECT!! Added pepper, dash of lemon juice, and garlic (i add garlic to everything). Better than I remembered, and I didn't think that was possibly! Quick, easy, and delish!!

Winter Fruit Salad with Lemon Poppyseed Dressing

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2010
I have been making this salad for several years, and each time have to go back to find the specifics for the dressing. Although this is not where I found the original recipe, it is the same. I read reviews of people changing things- please don't! Keep the swiss! Keep the cashews!! Keep the dressing- don't buy it!! Don't double the fruit!! If you don't like swiss, or cashews, poppy seed or craisens- make something else! Just sayin...

Garlic Cheese Chicken Rollups

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2011
I had chicken breasts thawed, and by the time I was ready to cook dinner I just wasn't in the mood to make or eat all the normal chicken dished I usually do. I happened upon this, and awesome. Since I wasn't prepared, I didn't have the garlic cheese spread, so I used cream cheese. I added garlic, rosemary, parsley, basil, and salt and pepper (normally I would have let that saturate for a while, but time wasn't on my side). I added some spices to the bread crumbs too. It was fantastic. Lots of variations you could do, to mix it up, but still the same prep. Many thanks!

Party Pinwheels

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2011
I look at all recipes as a foundation..which is why I don't bake because you have to follow the directions pretty precisly. I have been making a version of these for years. My suggestion is, look at the recipe, amounts, key ingrediets, and make it your own! If I had never seen this recipe I wouldn't have come up with my perfect wraps!
