Blueberry Cheesecake Ice Cream

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2010
WOW! Wow wow wow. Delicious! I used canned blueberry pie filling and omitted the graham cracker mix and it turned out great. I also used 3.5 oz of cream cheese instead of pudding. There are still little bits (very little) in the ice cream but it is really good! Amazing. I was so afraid it was going to be grainy, but it is so smooth and creamy. Thank you for posting this recipe! I have been craving it ever since blue bunny discontinued theirs!

Playgroup Granola Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2010
These bars are not too sweet, so they are perfect for kids. I halved the recipe and baked in a 8x8 pan for 20 min, but I could have cut the time down a bit. They taste very much like some kind of oatmeal cookie bar.

Scottish Shortbread IV

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2009
Very tasty, heavy shortbread. Bake for less time (no more than 20 min) and possibly at a lesser temp (I turned it down just a touch to 315 instead of 325 and baked for 20 min and they came out just right). I burned the first pan on 325 for 20 min and my oven bakes about right on if not a touch hot. Very good, would go great with coffee. YUMMY!

One Bowl Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2009
Left a lot to be desired. I ended up adding a lot of extra things in after tasting the finished product as written and being very unimpressed. As a donut frosting it would work well, it is a good consistency and flavor for that, but as a cookie frosting it falls short.

Cake Mix Cookies IV

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2009
I used chocolate fudge cake mix. These are good, but not great. If you want a really quick cookie that tastes alright these are for you. I would rather spend a little more time on something and have it taste better though. If you do make these, bake them for less time. They will come out so much better. Mine were perfect at about 5 or 6 min. Otherwise they turn out kind of crispy and hard. I would try this again with a yellow or white cake mix, I think that those may be tastier than chocolate.

Belgian Molasses Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2009
Made without a bread machine and forgot the salt! I think this recipe has a lot of potential but it is a little bland (even without the salt) and a little too moist for my taste. Like I said though, I DIDN'T make in a bread machine so that could account for it! I would try it again if I ever got a bread machine!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2009
Okay. They were good but not great. Kind of a cake-y texture and browned easily on the bottoms. I decreased the temperature and really watched the bottoms.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2009
EXCELLENT. Never actually had a cinnabon so I don't know if it tastes the same but it was certainly the BEST cinnamon roll recipe (AND FROSTING RECIPE BY FAR!) that I have ever found. I did not make it in a bread maker, I followed another's advice on how to do it without. Decreased cinnamon to 2 1/2 teaspoons instead of tablespoons because it seemed like a lot. I would increase it next time though, it didn't seem quite cinnamon-y enough. Also, I had to take the rolls out earlier than the recipe called for and they browned quickly. And I would make a little more frosting next time, it was EXCELLENT!

Cola Burgers

I really liked to flavor of these burgers. Their texture was somewhere between a regular burger and meatloaf because of the egg, and my husband didn't like them because of that. But I did!

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2009
Wasn't as moist and dense as I would have liked. I used 2/3 c oil instead of the full amount because of the reviews I read, so if I tried it again I would DEFINITELY use the full cup. Overall, this cake the way I made it, was OKAY.

Cream Cheese Jalapeno Hamburgers

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2009
This is a simple and great idea! Make sure you make the patties BIG. I made mine palm sized and they shrunk a lot. I'd would make them an 8 inch diameter next time. And make sure to put the cheese mixture in the very middle and have a good amount of hamburger left to seal around it or they will pop open on the grill. I also seasoned the meat with a little salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion salt. And I add butter (makes the meat SO juicy). I usually add about a Tbsp per pound. Very good!

Cinnamon Rolls II

Excellent recipe. I would let them rise more than an hour, mine turned out a little more dense than I would have liked. I haven't even tried the frosting recipe, it is so good without!
